I am SO FREAKIN EXCITED ABOUT THIS!. Â Yes it is true, BAQS has teamed up with the amazing people from Swatch Buddies to bring you their product with a dash of BadAss appeal!
I have been a fan of Swatch Buddies since I met them last year and when the opportunity presented itself we decided to stir up some BadAss fun for Spring Quilt Market!
Do you know Swatch Buddies?… if not you should! Get rid of bulky binders, and index cards with glued on swatches and step up to a gorgeous way to play with your stash, save some cash and get a handle on your quilting  and sewing projects.  Not to mention declare your BadAss Allegiance! ( Can I get a ” hell yeah!”)
On my part I use Swatch buddies as a project keeper. Â When I am collecting for a project I dedicate a ring or a section of one ring to the project. Swatching the fabrics I have and leaving blank cards for those I need or want to fill in. I can even make a little note on the card with a removable sticker to remind me what I am looking for or possibly even need to avoid ( Dear Maddie you DON”T need more dotted fabric..)
Others are dedicated, organized and my heros. They swatch their entire stash and have a stunning array of cards that bear witness to the fact that they are awesome and I am never going to be in their league, but hey we all roll our own way and Swatch Buddies are flexible enough to  work with my relaxed method as well as be a fantastic project for those who put their  fabric in alphabetic order 🙂
We have been selling Swatch Buddies at SPOOL from the day we opened the door. I have seen swatch rings built by theme, color, and type. Â I saw one amazing swatch ring that one of my customers did with all her Kaffe Fassett Fabrics – Â HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL that was amazing! Â She told me that it had made perfect sense to her since she is a Kaffe COLLECTOR and it was the best way to know what she had and what she was still hunting for. Â Brilliant huh?? No wondering what you have at home or double buying the wrong fabric and leaving the one you needed on the shelf!
Swatching is easy and the cards are totally reusable!
So.. here is the even better news.. The Swatch Buddies people  are  making  BAQS SWATCH BUDDIES starter packs available to ALL BAQS fans for FREE while at Spring Quilt Market.  And if that is not enough for you they will also have an AMAZING deal.. ( for as long as they last) of $10 for a 48 card ring with the BAQS logo .. EEEK!!! I am SO excited!!!
SO…  The SWATCH BUDDIES booth #741 is where all the action is going to happen… so be there or be square. And of course I will be hanging around there as well at times, so if you see me make sure ask for a  BAQS pin so we can go steady and go to the BadAssBIGDATE together!
For those at home.. don’t be sad! Turn that frown UPSIDE DOWN!!! since I am going to be giving away  BAQS Swatch Buddies Rings to 10 lucky readers!!!  I will draw for the winners after I get home from Quilt Market.  All you need to do is share this post on FB and then leave a message in the comments about how you currently keep up with your stash and how much you think Swatch Buddies might be able to help you. Â
Are you ready???? Let’s do this!!!!

Totally awesome idea!! I’d need about 10 though… Currently keep a list of my stash by designer, range, print name & colour (totally OCD, can you tell I’m a surgical nurse?) in my phone. I don’t always check it though…
Wow! These would certainly help me out when I’m putting together my next quilt! Currently, I just take all of what I have with me to the shop to find the other pieces that I need. A swatch buddy would certainly lighten my load in finding the perfect addition to finish my particular quilt! Think of me when you have your drawing. These look so great to use, and economical, too. Thanks, Richard Lavimoniere
I have been looking at these and wondering if they would be a good tool. Since I have repeatedly purchased fthe same fabric twice now, I think I’ll give it a try. I really like how you use them for a project. Swatching the whole stash could be dauting, but one project at a time might be doable.
This sounds like an exciting system I would love to use! I currently don’t have any system to use except haul fabric along with me. So this would be a great help!!!

My stash is not organized at all.
I’d need about 10 million of these RK keep up with my stash!
So need those!
What organization? I’m a hot mess this would be a great help can I get them by the case ???
I just stuff little pieces of fabric in my purse. Provides loads of entertainment for quilt shop people as I frantically throw the contents of my bag about looking for just the right swatch. Swatch buddies is such a great idea!
An organized Linnea? Only these could help…please!
I have no clue what is in my stash. I really need one of these!
Leah
Looks like another Badass winner to me.
This is just what I need!!!!! Every time i try to organize my stash it get worse!!! I need any help I can get!!
Would greatly help me shop by organizing all my fabric. Love them, gotta have them.
My stash has taken on a life of its own-maybe Swatch Buddies will be the start of an organized stash and more productive sewing time!
I dont keep up with whats in my stash. I guess I really need this 🙂
how I currently keep up with my stash??? LOL.. it’s all OVER the place… there IS NO keeping up!!
I just keep loose swatches in zipper compartments of my purse. not exactly organized!
These are great and would really help me out!
These are sooo cool!
These are fabulous. Glad you’re OK after market.
I just LOVE this idea … and it’s only been improved with the addition of the BAQ logo …
Cute cute cute love them- they ARE badass!
This sure would beat my present ‘system’ of an index card and snips of fabric taped to it!
Hope you had a great time at Spring Market & got lots of ideas to keep your creative mind racing. How cool is it that Swatch Buddies has the Bad ass logo, so excited for you.
Can’t wait to see upcoming ideas!
What a great idea! !!
I have no system right now! I’ve only gotten as far as writing what color solids in a ziploc bag as I cut it for projects. Quickly finding that doesn’t work!
These sure would help my failing memory!
I keep my fabric search pieces in a small photo album in my purse. I think the swatch buddies would be more convenient
Count me in. I am Bad Ass in quilting!!!’
Manage my stash??? If it is actually manageable… these would be a great start! And an awesome way to be out there as a Bad Ass Quilter!
These would be so much easier to find and KEEP than the scraps that get lost in my purse or pocket! I organize a lot of my stash by project into ArtBin totes but the rest is a bit crazy when I need to find just the right piece.
Oooooo, I want some, I need some. Got to have more of them.
Heck yeah, missed the Market but don’t want to miss out on swag opportunities!
How do I keep up with my stash??? I DON’T!!!
Yikes!!! I really need this product.
Gotta get these! I have NO idea what I have!
Good old safety pin or tape them to a 3 x 5″ card. …
Keep up with the stash???? It is getting away from me and sure could use some organizing help. Yes, I’ve shared..
Keep up with my stash? Lol, you’re funny! I really like your idea of keeping projects organized, I’ll have get some and try it. Thanks for the tip!
What a great idea! Right now my stash is shoved into a small dresser in my guest room – out of sight, out of mind. The Swatch Buddies ring would be a HUGE help when I’m out shopping, especially it comes to remembering what fabrics I already have 🙂
Oh yeah, I do need this for the same reasons as so many others have mentioned, I bought the same fabrics too many times… Must mean that I love it or something like that.Thank you Maddie and Swatch Buddies for the chance!
I shared and commented that I need this exact thing to organize my stash!!! HOW flipping cool!
better late than never. hope you are feeling better, Maddie!!
Currently I carry my swatches in a smaller ziplock baggie in my purse, that way I always have the fabric I’m looking for. Thank you for the chance to win. 😀
Truthfully, I don’t keep up with my stash, so I am constantly surprised by what is there when I go searching for fabrics. I definitely need some swatch buddies, especially Bad Ass swatch buddies!
Yeah, pretty sure I need this. I currently have no way of organizing my stash – but, I have a whole other idea of what I want to swatch – private message me later if you’re interested Maddie. I think you’ll like it! 🙂
Can’t wait for all exciting things you come up with.
These are awesome! I keep my stash in my head, mostly unsuccessfully. If I am pulling for a specific project, I’ll cut off a corner and drop it in my purse before I go shopping. It always gets lost before I get to where I need to be!
LOVE it. One can never have enough Badassery! <3
Very neat to have swatch buddies! Love it!
