Hello, I am Maddie Kertay and I am the BadAss Quilter.
BadAss Quilters society serves as my digital home base where I gather together other like minded liberal crafty/quilting folks who want to have both community and voice in what can be a rather conservative landscape.
I share my thoughts, projects and adventures in not only quilting but in my work for reproductive justice, old house renovations, sexuality and of course kittens!
I am 55 as of January of 2023
I am the mother of 6 grown children, one grandson and married to an amazing guy.
I am proudly queer ( Bi-sexual to be exact),
I am ADHD, with a nice dash of anxiety!
I am a Type two diabetic who is slaying her insulin resistance with medication and a low carb diet. I have lost over 60 pounds in the process!
I have the vocabulary of a sailor on shore leave – be warned.
