Sometimes we quit to escape. To find that place where pain, obligations and the real world slip off into the distance and leave us with just our inspiration in a world where anything is possible.
Steph created Ink Pink Foofaraw as a way to express the best BadAss parts of herself and show that there are many ways to be a quilter as she finds time for herself Β in her very full life.
In this case it was to be a quilter who included her love of ink-work with her fantastic quilting, to play in a world where there are no rules, only beauty.
It does not get much better than this folks!
Do you quilt to escape?… tell us about it!

Extraordinary!!
I do quilt to escape every single day but I enjoy it as well. I enjoy the challenge of hand piecing a quilt top and hand quilting as well. When I finish, I feel as though I have really done something special. My quilting is very simple and I am planning on purchasing a mid arm soon. Then watch out! Cause my horizons will be endless!
Ditto what Kelly Cline said! Way to go, Stephanie! π
Stephanie is a friend of mine and a definite BAQuilter!!! Also a supermom π You go girl!!!!
Quilting is my sanity! After a day at work, to be able to go to my quilt room and work on the “project du jour” is a blessing. It’s hard to stay stressed, mad, or worried when I’m being creative. When I later emerge, I’m fit to be around other people again!
Stephanie’s quilting is insane! I’m a fan. She’s also a little off in the head herself, which makes me like her bunches on a personal level.
Quilting is the only thing I do in my life for ME. I’m currently working two jobs and lately there is no time even for crumb piecing :-(. But I still find myself sitting in my sewing room, flippings through magizines, touching projects and more importantly my fabric and dreaming about what will be.
Being a 24/7 caregiver for invalid husband, I could slip away and sew strips together, do some crumb pieceing….it is referred as my Thread Therapy! For 10 minutes, I could ‘step off’ the crazy roller coaster ride!
