The more you know about thread the better choices you make when it comes to your projects.

There was a time when there was just one thread.. it was cotton and everyone used it. But times have changed and we now have more thread choices that “Carter’s as little liver pills” as my grandmother used to say.

From the Hab+Dash Website –

Glide is a trilobal polyester thread produced from high-tenacity filament yarn. Elongation variation from color to color is minimal ensuring uniform tension throughout each and every spool. Glide is readilly available in over 200 stocked colors in two separate spool sizes.

Yeah Maddie, but what does that all mean???

Let’s break it down…

Trilobal – it is made of three super strong filament strands that are twisted together in a way that they not only are stronger together but that they refract light in the way that it seems to glow.. like a rayon, BUT, stronger, and more resistant to bleaches and such!  Win win! In short, your surface quilting and embroidery will look amazing!

Elongation Variation – no thick and thin spots!… making it smooth sailing through your machine no matter is you are quilting or doing machine embroidery!

200 colors.. well THAT just speaks for it self!..  Want to see all the colors and keep track of which you own?   CLICK HERE to print off the complete digital color card to keep track of your own amazing GLIDE collection!!
