No Notions Round-Up would be complete without mentioning SOAK.
I have been a fan of SOAK products for a while now. I carried them at SPOOL and I use them at home almost daily. With sophisticated fragrances, gentle cleaning for my best quilts and garments as well as their fabric relaxing and ironing spray FLATTER I think you can say I am a serious part of the SOAK family.
Each of our winners this month with be getting a great selection of SOAK products of their own to try and fall in love with! You can find SOAK at the best quilt shops and of course online!

A lot of quilters are taking their products on the go! Sometimes “go” means on vacation or just while waiting when their kids or grandkids are at lessons or at the ball field. Â Missie Carpenter of Traditional Primitives has a really great product for just that… Her Portable Hexie Pressing Mat is just the right size work space on the go!
Missie also has a personally branded Freezer paper that has caught my eye… it is very thick and sturdy and I look forward to hearing back from one of our winners about how it has worked for them!
Ok… you all know what to do!.. Leave a comment and this time tell me if any of these notions are new to you and perhaps which ones are on your lust-list for the coming days!! We will pick the week 3 winner on Friday. All winner packages will be sent out at the end of the month with a variety of products from our sponsors. Winning in any one week does not guarantee you the products from that week but does get you a large box full of amazing notions goodness from our generous sponsors!!

I’ve used Flatter And really like it. It does seem to help smooth bad wrinkles although perhaps not longtime folds….does anything smooth those?? Who knew freezer paper had a makeover? May have to check that out
Oceans and Oceans of Notions! I have heard of Soak but never tried it–I love would love to try Flatter! Who knew you could improve on freezer paper? And, finally the Hexie mat–another brilliant idea I had no idea existed! Thanks for bring all this to my attention!
Would love to try a few of these products. I am always looking for the one new thing to improve my work.
I have not used either of these products. I dont have a lot of space in my sewing studio and then between raising my grandbaby and trying to keep her occupied and busy in gymnastics and church events and then my lupus and all my dr appointments, I take my sewing projects with me everywhere to keeo me busy. Whether in the car waiting, at an event waiting or in a waiting room or doctor office waiting. I am itching to use that pressing station both at home to press and on my lap as a little work station for epp.
I think the freezer paper is new to me. I know about the Soak products but haven’t tried them as they seem pretty expensive.
I have seen the Soak products at Quiltcon a few years back…haven’t tried it. The hexie mat looks like a brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing.

I would love to have that Hexie Pressing Mat I have the perfect use for it beside my machine and traveling with me. I just remembered that I received a sample of Flatter on a retreat I need to dig it out and give it a try. I had never heard of the special paper but would sure make it simple to not have to redo the EPP so often.

I have never heard of the Soak product line. I have visited stores up and down the east coast and never saw them.
Gotta get me some Flatter, but the Premium Freezer Paper is intriguing and would no doubt make the job of ink-jet printed fabric, as well as paper piecing, easier!
I’ve never heard of Soak?? Where oh where have I been hiding???
Branded freezer paper that is not Reynold’s wrap, now that is new to me. Love the Henie pressing mat!

I haven’t yet ventured into the realm of English paper piecing, have it on my radar. And I’m curius about Flatter…love to try it.
I’ve seen both Soak and Flatter but haven’t tried any yet…they are perennially on my wish list but I haven’t splurged. The hexie pressing mat is completely new to me but I can absolutely see its usefulness, not just for travel but also for placing right next to my sewing machine and using to press between rounds of my mini log cabins.
I’ve been watching your posts about Soak. I think it is a wonderful idea and the scents are yummy! How do you choose one?
I love Flatter! It really works! I haven’t used Soak, but hope to.

Love the hexie pressing mat, wouldn’t mind trying some Soak and Flatter either!
Hexi pressing mat is new and lustworthy
I have heard of Soak but not Flatter. Had not seen the Hexi pressing mat or the “freezer” paper for Hexies. Interesting.
The hexie mat is definitely something I’ve never seen and it looks very interesting and could be used in my sewing routine. I have seen you use both Soak & Flatter on the internet but never been able to purchase them to give it a go, I would absolutely love to try them after watching you use these products.
I’m loving This! Learning about products and items i didn’t know existed or wanted!
