So… did you enjoy our post from Monday and get your comment in over there?… if not make sure to get your comment in to double your chance at winning!
Those who know me know that I love doing complex, layered and slightly over the top appliqué… and while I don’t always use a fusible due to the way it changes the hand of the fabric with this new product I just might!! Barely There by the people at Swirly Girls is a new whisper thin, ultra-sheer, iron-on adhesive and comes in pre-cut 8.5″ x 11″ sheets to print or copy on your inkjet printer. Features quick, easy release paper liner – no more picking at the edges of your applique! Barely There is permanent, machine washable and acid free. Perfect for layered appliqué!
Barely There is found at you Local Quilt Store but if they can’t get it for you feel free to use this DISCOUNT: Use the code IMABADASS to receive 20% off of Barely There and all Patterns at swirlygirlsdesign.com from September 1 – October 31, 2017.
Sweet Susan has also thrown in a copy of her fun pattern Happy Place for one of our winners!
I know that as I have aged good lighting is no longer a luxury, it is a must! No matter if I am machine or hand sewing I need good light and my glasses to be able to see what I am doing! The people at Harbor-Sales have been so great as to send us two versions of their Vivilux lighting to give away! I am hearing some good things about this rechargeable lighting and look forward to hearing from those who win as to how they are using it!
You know the drill….. leave a comment to be in the running, pop over and check out these cool products online or at your local quilting store. We announce a winner on FRIDAY on the BAQS Facebook page!

Love the notions! Thanks for the chance to win!
My, My! I love all these little goodies!!! I’ve put myself in Quilter’s Jail to keep me from biuying something new until I finish just ONE
thing. Winning something as cool as this would solve my problem! Seriously, great giveaways!
The ultra thin fusible sounds great!
This product looks great!
Never enough light it seems. And why do shadows always fall right where you need to see!?!
Every decade past 40 I think I’ve doubled the amount of light I need…my sewing room can be seen for miles! 😉 Thanks for a great giveaway, this looks great!
What a great light! Rechargable. I could place it anywhere and not have to worry about the cord reaching. Though, I would have to secure my sewing area so that it didn’t “walk away” like so many of my supplies.
I can never have too much light. Thanks, Maddie, for good info.
Shoot, am I too late? I’ve been a little focused on Irma coming calling….
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to look at new notions! Thanks for doing this! I’m just starting to get it on with applique and something that will go through the printer is pretty cool!
Would love to try the new fusible for appliqué! And at my age I need all the light I can get!!

Lightweight fusible , sounds like something I should try

I need to know what that background fabric is from the video! So cute! And lighting is always a must.

Hi Michelle,
The background fabric from the video will be released in October. It is part of the Hank & Clementine collection by Swirly Girls Design with Michael Miller Fabrics. Thank you!
Maddie, Even if I don’t win a thing; I’m learning so much. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us!
Love notions. Always makes sewing easier.
My 40+ year old eyes need better lighting. Having something portable would be great. And I love applique: can always use a lightweight fusible.
