Happy birthday day to me, happy birthday to me, Â I am doing a giveaway for my birthday!
As some of you know I  got an Instant Pot a couple of months ago and it has been love since first pressurizing!  This machine saves me so much time… it is an electric pressure cooker and  while it does just about everything that a slow cooker will do it does it 100 times faster. This is perfect for those of us who on the regular forget to actually plug in the crock pot!!
This machine is giving me more time in the sewing room and who can say no to that?
So here is the deal… today is my birthday but I am a go-big or go-home sort of girl so we will keep this giveaway open all week so that people can find it, leave a comment and get in on the fun!  We will draw for a winner on Friday the 27th at 9pm eastern over on the BAQS page on Facebook so make sure to not only LIKE it but the follow as well so you don’t miss hearing that you won!  All you need to do is leave a comment here telling me your favorite time saving dinner and you are in!
As always dear Speakeasy members, the secret handshake has gotten you in on even more good-stuff. You will also be having your own additional  private Instant Pot giveaway so that gets you double the chances to win! My favorite time saving dinner is pre-prepped from The Suppershop. Just have to defrost the night before. Next day its in the pot and I only moved it twice!
I like to do a whole chicken, and then use the meat for multiple dishes, and the bones and “stuff” for broth!.
I’ve heard great reviews for the Insta Pot, but have been hesitant to buy my own.
My favorite quick dinner is Crock Pot Taco Soup. I bet you could make it in no time in the Insta Pot.
I Have been wanting one of these for some time. I just have to get on the band wagon and get one, one way or another. I wouldn’t mind an Air fryer either. Just in case you run another give away.
Oh my I want one of these so bad!!! I make black bean and cheese quesadillas in a skillet on the stove for a quick dinner!! Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Birthday!
I’ve been considering one of these for a few weeks now. Curious if it’s really as good as everyone says they are!
I feel like I’m missing out on a good thing by not having an Instant Pot. Thanks for hosting a giveaway!!
Taco soup in the crockpot is my favorite. Happy birthday.
?
Happy Birthday! I make giant pots of soup and then freeze it in single servings. All I have to do is pop it in the microwave when I get home.
Buying 1 rotisserie chicken and turning it into several meals. Keeping ready made meatballs in the freezer is also a great time saver.
I want in on this fun! My favorite supper time shortcut (aside from Chinese take-out) is ground beef tacos.
I’m all in for easy meal prep!
Happy B-Day to you! I love a good beef stew in the colder months. I’ve been using plantains in place of potatoes and leaving out the tomatoes lately for a change up. It’s yummy! Thanks for the awesome promo!!
Well Happy Birthday!
I love thai curry and it is so fast and easy to make with jarred curry paste and leftovers from my fridge.
I make this a lot for a quick and spicy meal.
Happy quilting! Right now the go to easy dinner is. Batch of soup made with the left over ham from the holidays.
Happy happy birthday!!!
My favorite thing is chili or chicken tortilla soup. Hope you have a fabulous day!!
I would LOVE one!!!! Happy birthday!
We love our new instant pot! Beef stew is great and so easy and quick! Also love boiling eggs and baking potatoes!!!
HaPpY BirThDAy!! I have used pressure cookers in the past, now crock pots. Working 50- 60 he weeks and tempting to finish tons of ufo’s, the I P would be grand!!
Our favorite time saving dinner is definitely french bread pizza! Quick and easy 10 minutes in the oven and we are good to go!
Happy Birthday to YOU!! My favorite time saving dinner is pre-frozen homemade soup (defrosted, of course) with grilled cheese sandwiches!
We love pulled pork from the slow cooker, can’t wait to see what an Insta-pot would do!
Happy birthday! My favourite dish is Mexican beef stew – made in Ireland & im sure it is nothing like Mexican food! But it is my fav recipe
A fast dinner at my house is a ham steak cut into cubes and sauteed with a chopped onion. I throw in frozen broccoli flowerets and mushrooms (if I have them) and let everything steam through. I boil a couple of handfuls of rotini or fat egg noodles and throw the al dente pasta on top of the ham and veggies. I toss everything around and thrown cheese of some sort on top. Put the lid back on until the cheese melts and you have supper! It usually takes about 20 minutes start to finish. I would LOVE to own an Instapot and join the cult! 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!
Quesadillas- plain cheese for the kids, fancier for me!
Happy Birthday. I was wondering about the instant pot. I think i want to try it!
Great tool!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ORIGINAL BAD ASS QUILTER!!!
Spanish chickpea stew: 1/2 pound of chick peas in the crock pot with one teaspoon salt, anywhere from 1 to 6 cloves of garlic (I use four large cloves), one bay leaf. Cook until done. Just before serving, on the stove, make a sofrito (saute) of one onion, 2 large cloves garlic, one tsp sweet paprika, one diced sausage optional (I use vegan field roast sausage), 1/2-1 tsp hot red pepper (I like New Mexico chili powder, but cayenne would substitute well). Add the above and 1/2 package of frozen spinach to the chickpeas for 10-15 minutes, just until the spinach is heated through and serve with crusty bread and a glass of wine.
Happy Birthday! My go to fast dinner is spaghetti. Hardly takes any time at all!
Happy Birthday to someone I feel sure k owe how to celebrate! Would love to be able to learn a new quick way to prepare great meals.
Anything to help me spend more time sewing! Whoot, whoot. Happy Birthday!
Every time I make a casserole I make two and freeze one for later. Also if I’m chopping an onion I chop two and freeze the extra in a ziplock bag. After its frozen just whack the bag on the counter to break it up and you can just reach in and grab some to add to whatever you’re making.
Happy birthday! Hope it was a badass time!
Happy happy birthday, with many more to follow! The favorite timesaving meal here is beef & veg soup. It’s the man’s recipe, and it’s wonderfully yummsy!
Happy happy birthday! My favorite timesaver meal: burritos made from crockpot chicken…chicken pieces, dark beer, jar of green salsa, and cumin. Throw it all in, cook all day. Falls apart…makes great enchiladas too!
Coming late to the party but Happy Birthday! Pasta with prefab sauce is a hurry up meal around here. When there is more time – or maybe with a lovely Instant Pot – I love soups and stews with bread fresh out of the oven.
I LOVE my instant pot so much I one to several people for Christmas gifts and now they love it too
Wow! I didn’t know such a thing existed. Would love to have one.
Well first – happy birthday!! I hope it’s awesome.
I’ve seen these advertised and would love to own one! I wondered if they really worked but it sounds like they do. I’ll have to check it out!
Happy birthday! My favorite quick meal is a big piece of garlic sourdough bread topped with cheddar, under the broiler to melt cheese, then top with sliced avocado.
Wieners and beans. Good thing my husband is okay with it, too!
HAppy Birthday!!! My fast food dinner is pasta carbonara. In the time it takes to boil water….lol…I cook bacon, crumble it up, beat a couple eggs, stir into hot drained spaghetti and add Parmesan..buon appetito! Keep hearing about these pots! Neato!
I just broke my shoulder so I could *really* use this! Haven’t explored pressure cooking yet, but would love to! Favorite quick dinner is a baked potato with ham and cheese.
Happy Birthday! Hope you celebrate for at least the whole month! I don’t have a go to option, might have to jump on the bandwagon…
Sounds like a great time saver. Count me in.
My favorite fast meal is probably chicken in the crockpot with BBQ sauce!!! Yum!
Egg roll in a bowl is basically a stir fry. It’s quick and easy and very yummy. I’ve been wanting to try an Instapot too! Happy birthday, Maddie!
I wonder if the hype was worth it on this instapot craze. I guess so! I usually love to make a Chinese beef in my slow cooker. Then when I get home I just have to steam broccoli (okay, I throw the microwave team bag in the microwave) and cook rice.
Happy birthday. I have a friend who says here instant pot is amazing.
Mine isn’t time saving so much, but I know my kids love quiche. I make it with pre-made crust so it’s about 10 minutes of prep assembly, then 25 minutes of sewing while it bakes!
