Happy birthday day to me, happy birthday to me, ย I am doing a giveaway for my birthday!
As some of you know I ย got an Instant Pot a couple of months ago and it has been love since first pressurizing! ย This machine saves me so much time… it is an electric pressure cooker and ย while it does just about everything that a slow cooker will do it does it 100 times faster. This is perfect for those of us who on the regular forget to actually plug in the crock pot!!
This machine is giving me more time in the sewing room and who can say no to that?
So here is the deal… today is my birthday but I am a go-big or go-home sort of girl so we will keep this giveaway open all week so that people can find it, leave a comment and get in on the fun! ย We will draw for a winner on Friday the 27th at 9pm eastern over on the BAQS page on Facebook so make sure to not only LIKE it but the follow as well so you don’t miss hearing that you won! ย All you need to do is leave a comment here telling me your favoriteย time saving dinner and you are in!
As always dear Speakeasy members, the secret handshake has gotten you in on even more good-stuff. You will also be having your own additional ย private Instant Pot giveaway so that gets you double the chances to win! Happy Birthday! Thanks for giving us the presents. I have been Soooo tempted by the Instant Pot. Winning one would be very cool.
These things look really cool and healthy at the same time. I would love to join the cult!!
Happy birthday!! When I’m in a hurry, it’s usually a grilled cheese. I’m super curious about the instapot though. I’ve never been around a pressure cooker, I think my mom was traumatized as a child!
Happy day Miss Maddie! Chicken and dumplings!!!! Make couple of days ahead and then let it warm in the crackpot. Yummy.
Happy Birthday Maddie! Thanks so much for your generosity.
My time saving dinner is crock pot roast or chili done in my crock pot. Happiest of Birthdays to you Maddie. ?
Quick dinner? Grilled cheese and tomato soup…. Yum….
Happy Birthday! When I am in a time crunch, scrambled eggs it is…
Pretty much anything that I can cook in one pot. Less clean up!
Tater soup in the crock pot today…wonder how it would be in the Instant pot…
Happy Birthday, Maddie! When I was newly married (1982), my mother in law gave me an old school (Presto?) pressure cooker. I used it a lot but lost it when I left a bum husband. I’d love to try the modern version! There are so many great new ideas out there!
Our go to, quick meal isn’t really a meal. It is tortellini soup. We always keep some tortellini in the freezer.
Happy ? birthday!
My mom and my aunt used those back in the day for canning. They always scared me a little too. Anyways, my favorite quick go to meal any type of casarole. Throw it together, pop it in the oven and done!
Happy Birthday and thanks for the chance to win this awesome time saver
All the best
Dagmar
Making veggie soup today. Pot would be nice
My go to suppers… Spaghetti, I make a big pot of sauce and freeze it in individual containers or I make eggs when I don’t know what I want and don’t feel like a lot of work.
Happy Birthday!!! Hope you enjoy your day!!! ๐ I would love to have one of these…it would save me so much time, time that I could be spending at my quilting & knitting!!! Thanks for the chance..
Best cooking timesaver? Have my husband cook! If I have company, my favorite things to make are ones I can do ahead and bake later so I can pay more attention to people than cooking.
A birthday for the queen of bad ass quilters society! Celebrate like the rock star you are! Feel free to send an instapot my way.
chicken quesadillas! using left over roasted chicken and corn tortillas, they’re super quick and super satisfying. i throw enough salsa on them that you get a veggie too!
and if i had an instant pot, i could cook the whole chicken in it myself, instead of buying one of the pre-cooked ones at the store!
Happy Birthday!! Thanks for the chance to win the instant pot so I can see more!
I use my stove-top pressure cooker all the time and would love to try this one! Thanks for being so generous and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy birthday!
Pre-roasted chicken from Costco or Sams. Eat them as is or make tacos or burritos or chicken salad or casserole or chicken fettuccine or … so good!
My favorite time saving dinner is to pick up pre-cut veggies at the grocery store. Sometimes they come from the salad bar, other times the frozen food section. They can be added to a stir fry or just steamed for a quick side item. That way I don’t have a ton of left-over veggies that I only need a small amount of for the recipe I am making.
We’ve used many of the recipes in Pressure Cooker Perfection by America’s Test Kitchen .
And refer to http://www.hippressurecooking.com/ often.
Our current go-to recipe is http://www.pressurecookingtoday.com/pressure-cooker-bow-tie-pasta/
New Years Eve Chicken (long story) – Chicken breasts, block of cream cheese, can of corn, can of black beans, cumin, salt and pepper. Serve on top of Spanish rice with a green side salad. Throw it in a crock pot for 6 hours on high. I can’t even imagine how fast it would be in the IP!
I usually save time with crock pot vegetable soup. I love that I can toss it all in, turn it on and go see! Later we just come down and eat. I’ve never used a pressure cooker but did look at them last year and wondered about them.
Sew Not see!!
You are awesomely generous to offer such prizes.
My time saving dinner ….. I guess when I forget to plan, it would be soup and sandwich….or ravioli (from the freezer) and salad.
I cannot get enough of fresh applesauce and birthdays.
I love to make Italian dishes. How fun it would be to learn a quicker, easier way to make some of my favorites. Happy Birthday!!
Happy Birthday!!
I make a pork roast, eat some, shred some for the freezer.
Have a wonderful birthday. I have been reading about these amazing appliances and think it would be so great to have one.
Happy Birthday ?????
I love making beef stew in the crock pot and would love to make it even faster. I heard these are good and safe.
Thanks for the chance
I have been dying to try one of these out! It would replace so much stuff in my kitchen!
So anxious to get into pressure cooking. I have been hearing such good things about Instantapot.
What a great giveaway! My favorite fast dinner is frozen pizza! Lol! Maybe if I win this I can make some fast HEALTY dinnersโบ!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Sandwiches. They save me the time of trying to find a new place to live when I burn the house down trying to cook ๐
My favorite time saver is crock pot lasagna. My husband loves it. I love your posts they are so much fun, and the give aways are great too!
I have had a fear of pressure cookers all my life. Winning this would help me get over this and give me more quilting too. Happy birthday
Happy birthday! I love to use my crockpot because I love having meals already finished when I get home from work – but I’m super curious about the hot pot cult. I haven’t committed yet, and I have been watching your posts with interest!
Happy Birthday. ENJOY your day and the Instant Pot sounds wonderful! Thank you for this opportunity.
My favorite quick dinner is Sloppy Joe’s made with a can of Manwich. Brown 1lb of hamburger or ground turkey, add can of sauce, doctor it up with a little hot sauce, place of buns and your good to go! On days I want to be fancy I sprinkle on a bit of grated cheese.? Thanks for such a fun giveaway!
Happy Birthday, Maddie!! You definitely don’t look 49!
I have to admit – I’ve always been afraid of pressure cookers. Then, I heard your interview on While She Naps, and I’ve been intrigued since then. They are a little pricey for me, though, so I pray I’m a lucky winner today.
My favorite time saving meal is crockpot pot roast. Just top the roast with dry onion soup, and cream of mushroom soup, a little water and set it and forget it!! Thanks for this chance to win!!!!!
My favorite time (and effort!) saving dinner is having my hubby (or really anyone) bring something home. ๐
Oh, you meant something I actually make??? That would be salad with any kind of protein. Sometimes I saute chicken with onions and mushrooms, sometimes it’s more like taco filling, and I throw it on a salad. Yum!
I love making stew in a pressure cooker!! So an instant pot would be great ?
I am the mom that cried over the pressure cooker. My daughter Monique Magnuson set me straight, love her.
I have my Mother’s pressure cooker and remember that she used it a lot when I was growing up. The new ones have so many new features and it would be fun to have one to use and cut down on time in the kitchen. Thanks for the birthday gift and a very Happy Birthday to you.
??????HAPPY BIRTHDAY ????????????
