So, did you see the video and now you need some thread? Like you really, really need some thread? Well my darlings you have come to the right place! The holiday merrymakers at Fil-Tec -The home home of Bobbin Central are big-time supporters of BadAss Quilters Society and they are helping us say Happy Holidays to you in the merriest of ways!
The engineers at Bobbincentral.com have been working some very long hours on their new 60 weight Glide thread that is thin like a human hair and yet strong and up for the challenge of your more trying sewing, embroidery or quilting jobs. So if you are needing something thinner for fine lettering when it comes to embroidery, want to reduce the sometimes “thready” nature of backtracking in some quilting designs or just want a different look to your coverage this thread was engineered for that!
Glide 40wt. has been my go-to thread for a lot of years so having yet another option in the Glide family is very exciting! I encourage you to learn more about all the threads at Bobbincentral and then seek them out at your local sewing store since shopping local is what the cool kids do! You might want to check out the giveaways they have going on as well over on their Bobbin Central Facebook Page page…maybe you will win two times!
If you don’t have a local store that carries Glide might I suggest that you check out our BAQS Preferred Provider for Glide products Sparrow Quilt Studio and check out that sweet discount!!
or check the Store Locator on the Bobbin Central Website for a store near you!
In the meantime how about taking the chance on winning some thread? Leave a comment letting me know how merry and bright 20 cones of Glide 60wt. would make your holiday season and on December 22nd 23rd we will be drawing for a winner!!! The WINNER will be announced by live cast and will need to check in to claim their prize. So make sure to stop by the BadAss Quilter Facebook page to find out if you won!
To make EXTRA sure you see if you win, there is something you can do. Go to the BAQS FB page and make sure you LIKED it… and then where it says Following, click the drop down and click See First and All On… this will make sure you will see an alert if you are the winner!
Gook luck!!!

If I won these beautiful colors, I wouldn’t have to settle for a color “close” to what I need. I would have it! Thanks for the give away.
These would come in handy on a t-shirt quilt I am making that has lots of colors!
OOOOoooo I adore Glide and had no idea there is a 60 wt.!! How great to see the “family reunion” when the Glide in my stash had a party with the new 60 wt threads! I can hear them singing and dancing now! Okay, I’d be singing and dancing with them. :))))
I can also see putting 2 different colors of new Glide through my needle and quilting with them.
Okay, I’m back from visualizing this. 🙂
Happiest holidays to all and to all good luck! 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win !!
Just started quilting, this would be a welcome surprise.
I would so love for “Santa” to bring me this thread! And since the winner will be pulled on my son’s birthday, I may get lucky! So…..pick me, pick me!!!
Omg? I would love so much to try out the 60wt thread. I ❤️️ Glide thread….it’s my go to for quilting on my APQS Millie! Merry Christmas!
Wow 20 new colors would make my quilting awesome! Love Glide thread!
This would be an amazing gift to win. Merry Christmas to you all!
I have 40wt. glide but no 60wt. so I have a frown. Winning would turn my frown upside down and I would be a Happy! Happy! girl at Christmas.
I have many quilt tops dine and would be motivated to finish the quilts if I won.
What beautiful colors! I haven’t tried Glide thread yet. I have a lot of quilt tops waiting to be quilted. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I love Glide thread for FMQ. Can’t wait to try the 60wt thread. This would be the best Christmas present, period!
Merry Christmas to me is what I would be saying. I have never used this thread and would love the experience and sharing with others. I love thread as much as fabric.
I would love to work with the Glide thread on my Lucey! I would love to stop having to experiment with threads for my longarm.
I would love to try the 60wt thread for embroidery and quilting.
I do lots of machine embroidery and I love 60 wt for bobbin thread. Winning the threads would be so wonderful
What beautiful to do free motion quilting with. Can you say happy quilts!
Would be freaking awesome to win those! While I love my local sewing stores, neither of them carry Glide. 🙁 I’d love to be able to show them what they’re missing! 😀
My machine quilting group would sure have fun if I took such a fabulous prize to share!!
My Christmas would be lit if I had enough comes of thread to quilt those tops I have ready to quilt!! After Christmas I will be spending some time with my Sweet Sixteen to try and get those quilts quilted!!
My post holiday season would be amazing as i then have two weeks off work and will be finishing several (i hope!) Quilts to try to reduce the pile of tops
Ooh, luscious!!! I bought a new machine recently so I could teach myself free-motion quilting. My 1941 Singer just wasn’t up for that job, if you know what I mean!!!! I would use all of those great colors, especially Pacific and Irish Spring, to outline and heavily fill in a gorgeous underwater scene that I’ve been collecting fish, shell and starfish patterns for since about 1990!!!!! Can’t wait to see if I get a chance to make my dream scene!
I would be absolutely thrilled with this gift of thread! I’m excited to try the new weight.
What a delightful gift that would be.. 🙂
Thread would make my holiday very merry!! I have a small thread collection and tons of UFOs. Winning just May help me finish some!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Think I deserve a prize after converting bags of slithery ties into pillow gifts. Give me some good quilting cotton any day
Ooooooo- colors! They would really help turn my UFOs into FOOJs (finished objects of joy) 🙂
As a new long arm quilter, this would end 2016 on such a high note!! Still practicing but using Glide after a class. My local shops don’t carry many colors so this would be fabulous!!
Those are BeAuTiFuL!!! They would make a great addition to my longarm and perfect for learning with.
I get as excited by this thread as my husband does over a brand new car. Shiny, bright, and colorful!!! How fun it would be to win! Thanks and Happy Holidays everyone!
Ooh! 60weight! This is just what I need as I practice more on my Free Motion quilting! This would make me very merry and my quilts bright, indeed!
Such pretty thread! That would be so fun to win! Playing the long arm with pretty thread is the best present !
Oh, my! All the wonderful quilting that could be done for family, friends, as well as those in need. It would certainly put a smile on my face and tears of joy in my eyes to find I won. That said, congratulations ahead of time to whomever wins. You are definitely a special person!
I would hang them from the Christmas tree and enjoy the glow coming from them. Thank you for the chance to win this awesome giveaway. Merry Christmas.
Now that’s a present I would get very excited to have! So much better than another one of those”didn’t know what to get you “ones. Thanks for the chance to win.
That would make me very merry, to win that thread in all those wonderful colors.
I have not had the pleasure to try (any weight) of the glide thread. I have heard wonderful things about it. I am looking for a 60 weight (go to) thread to work with. Would love for santa to leave me 20 beautiful spools to play with.
I would hold those 20 comes of Glide close to my heart to bond with them for days, I would be so entirely happy! We would agree that only beautiful, original pieces would be stitched with them and would always be treasured. Nothing but a happy home for these beauties!
Oh my goodness! Christmas quilt lights!
