Stephanie-Adams-cover

You know how you just know you are going to like someone from the moment they open their mouth?  Well that is how I felt about this week’s cover quilter. She is a dynamic ball of fire blessed with such talent and so much joy that it makes me happy just knowing that she is around.

The  funny things is that I knew her quilts before I even knew her and that made knowing her extra special.

Stephanie  describes herself as a “crazy-ass” high maintenance wife  and mom to the the amazing Savannah  a young lady who has beat all the odds from her birth 12 years ago at 1 pound 4 ounces to become the amazing girl she is today.  SavyGirl Design Studio gets it’s name from Savannah who inspires her mom every day with her hard work at overcoming all the obstacles life has thrown her way.

Stephanie began sewing in 2006 and quickly launched into making bags and home decor items but did not really find her niche until the first day she walked into a quilt shop.

Her first step into Sarah’s in Lawrence KS transported her into quilt heaven and she has not stepped down off that cloud since!

Her quilting adventure continued as she made quilt tops and sent them off to be quilted by some of the best and brightest in our industry such as Angela Walters and Lisa Sipes.

Soon her desire to quilt her own work over took her and the purchase of a longarm was a full family production leading to today as she refines her skills and continues to amaze us all with her outrageous talent for quilting and paper pieced quilt design.
