Now don’t shoot the messenger but, are you ready for the holidays yet? And no, I am not talking about the 4th of July, I am talking about the winter holidays, you know  Festivus, Hanukkah, Christmas, Yule, Festival of lights, Kwanzaa  and on.
Yeah I know, you just dug out the sunscreen and the beach towels but already your LQS is bringing in the newest in holiday fabric for the coming season. Much like going to Target in November to find a sweater and only to be greeted by racks of swimsuits the retail season does not always make sense but now is the time to start thinking about and buying the fabric for projects you are going to making and giving this coming season.
So while you don’t need to be sewing a stitch right now by stretching your dollars over a longer period of time you will have a healthy stock of adorable print yardage ready for you without it making a painful dent in your wallet.
The people at Ink & Arrow Fabrics understand this and have created the most adorable planning sheet for you to start thinking about what you are going to sew and for whom… sort of like a naughty/nice list for gift production 🙂  Go ahead and click HERE or on the image and a fully sized printable will pop up on your screen. I like to print mine on cardstock to make them a bit more sturdy… go on and print a few since you might have office gifts, gifts for school teachers and family to do.  Create a sheet for each group and keep up with things brilliantly this year! Get really fancy and put them in a binder making it easy to take to the quilt shop with you and  pick fabrics for your projects and keep up with all the details. <–  Great tip right there.
The graphics on the printable are from  Ink & Arrow’s newest holiday line Mingle and Jingle… isn’t is just the cutest!!  Fat fluffy cats in sweaters and precious pups ready for some holiday fun and of course there is a whole coordinate line to go with these cute creatures.
Want to see them? Even better want to win them??? Â Yeah, I thought so… what a great way to get a jump on your holiday sewing..right?

Quilts and new stockings since we have added a new grandchild……😉
And zippered bags for the girls.
I sure would love to make boxers for a couple of friends!
I’m planning on making lap quilts for my grandkids for Christmas this year. Those sweater puppies are adorable and I know which grandkid it would be perfect for!
Working on multiple quilts. This collection of adorable fabrics would be used right away!!!
I just got a new baby from the pound and he weighs 4 pounds. He is grown but he will need clothes for the winter
I’m head over heels in love with the sweater wearing fish. Adorable critters just trying to keep, warm. But really, I can’t stair to holiday projects until October, it just ain’t right.
Already planning some plush toys, baskets, pillows and a quilt or two!
This is so cite..i picture pillow cases for all pet people friends
I can only take a hand sewing project, so EPP it will be! Travelling in july with 4 kids means limited times at our destination BUT it’s 5 hours on the road so that will be my time
I would make bags for my whole family from this fabric line.
So far I have plans to make the 4 members of my Friendship group monogram pillows using the Alphabet from the talented Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts. And I am hoping to make one family member a quilt. Wish me luck!!
I love this line! I need to get on my holiday sewing. Started a Christmas quilt for my sis last year and it’s still not done. I think a new Christmas outfit for my new niece in adorable fabrics is also in order.
A bunting banner for my holiday fireplace. My furbabies, Lexie and Lil Stevie Wonder, will love it!
For some reason I absolutely love Christmas fabric! And this collection grabbed me to!
Right now I’m working on finishing the Lori Holt Christmas quilt from last year! Then I will start sewing gifts for the family…I’m making everyone market totes!
As a brand new quilted my holiday sewing plans involve making things for everyone! What I really really want to finish is a quilt for my loving husband who’s accepted this new hobby not quite as joyously as I have!
As I haven’t finished last year’s tree skirt project, my goal is to finish it by Christmas!! LOL. I’d love the Mingle & Jingle FQ!
Almost Christmas in July! Please enter me for the mingle & jingle FQ.
I have on my list of projects a blue and green wonky Christmas tree wallhanging.

Plans for holiday sewing… ya – right. Plans are something other people make. If I run across a project that I think will be appropriate for gift giving, I make one. Hopefully, I finish it. As it turns out, I usually do give at least one handmade gift.
Oh My Goodness. I don’t know what…but it’s gonna be at my house for sure! Love Love Live this!
This fabric is absolutely cute! I’m thinking holiday napkins for pet lovers.
These are too too cute for words! What a fun holiday set…but NO! Not ready for holiday prep quite yet!!!! 😉😎
My guild kicks off our Christmas sewing with a Christmas in July workshop the 3rd week in July. The program committee sent out project and cutting instructions yesterday, so I guess I need to go shopping!
Honestly, my daughter and I were just discussing holiday fabric!!! I’m on Halloween now and half my brain was leaning toward the winter holidays. As slow as I am, I have to keep a season ahead! These are adorable and deliciously non-traditional! Woohoo!
I plan on making a tree skirt with holiday fabric. Of course I’ve had this same plan for about 7 years. But I’m still planning on it 🙂
Holiday sewing is for me only this year. #selfishsewing #treatyoself
This is too cute for words. My holiday sewing is going to be a Grinch Quilt I bought at a quilt show a few years back, for the Grinch in my life. There are also a number of smaller art quilt projects going on, involving fabric painting and Zentangle, so those will be gifted as well.
I like to make Christmas pillowcases to “wrap” presents in!
I’m planning on making a Christmas quilt for myself. Same one I’ve been planning on making for the past 6 Years. The fabric is well aged!
This is perfect for the holidays this year – we all determined it would be a homemade Trismas gift exchange!
Holiday Sewing this year will consist of smaller projects for friends but I’d really like to make a beautiful tree skirt for myself. All of that will be preempted by a quilt for my newest niece arriving in Nov. This auntie has to make one for this new gal just like I did for her older sister when she joined us 2 years ago. My favorite type of gift to give!
Cute fabric. I haven’t even thought about holiday sewing (any holiday).
Love Arrow and Ink. One of my new favorites, though hard to find in a LQS. Christmas has several panels waiting for inspiration.
I need those kitties in sweaters!
That is just too cute! I would love to make a baby quilt for someone due around the holidays!
This fabric is adorable, I’d make a wall hanging out of it. I’m rather excited for Tula Pink’s Holiday Line with Ryan Goosling though… 😉
Wow, who doesn’t love little pets in Christmas sweaters- I plan on some table runners and different things like that for Christmas presents.
I just bought an independence day themed panel that I will border with tiny blocks of coordinating fabrics to make my mother for Christmas. Both kids (5th and 6th grade) need new quilts for their beds. I wad going to aim for Christmas for them too.
OMG that is totally adorbs!!! I have got to get my hands on some of that!!!
I will be making small projects! Pillows & a tree skirt. Love Ink & Arror fabrics!!!!!!!!
I have already started making small Christmas quilts to pair with a book for my great nieces and nephews.
I adore this fabric!
We need a new we need a new tree skirt and these would be adorable for that project! I also have a secret something I would love to make for someone near and dear ♡
Ink and Arrow has such fun fabrics! My sewing plans for this year’s Christmas might include a Canada quilt for my hubby in honor of Canada’s birthday.
My friends and I are doing a Christmas block exchange. We will exchange the blocks in October, so I should be able to finish the top and quilt it by the holiday season! (Keep your fingers crossed for me … our last exchange block collection from February is still in the box!). My oldest grandson has just talked with me about the next quilt that he wants. It is a modern quilt! Lots of curves and bright colors! My plan is for him to have it as his Christmas present.
Oh, Maddie, you are coming up with some awesome give aways! Right now, I don’t have any plans for holiday projects. I’ve always wanted to make a quilt for each of my nieces and nephews now that they are older. I might just have to aim for that this year!
Animals in tiny sweaters? Adorbs.
Every year I make cat/dog themed quilts for the rescue group that brought 2 wonderful dogs into our home. They have a winter bazaar where they accept donations for the quilts. That money goes back into animal rescue.
Oh, I have been dreaming of a lime green Christmas. I love doing Christmas quilts, wall hangings. This year I want to do some ornaments!
Would love this one!!! Holiday sewing, hmmm, I have a Day of the Dead quilt I need to finish quilting – does that count 😉
I so need to think about holiday sewing.
We need some holiday themed doggie beds for our fur babies.
I have been crushing on lime and cardinal as a color combination lately … I think there’s a bright holiday quilt in my very near future!
