Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” Â batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

Would love the batiks as they bring my and my buddies such inspiration. I would like BAQS to keep pushing the envelope for new quilters who don’t fit the mold of “my grandma used to quilt” so that everyone has a voice. Good luck ladies, in whatever you do next.

Sweet quilting cottons for me! Please pick me! I would love to see some retreats focused on learning new techniques or just relaxing and creating.. or a combination of both. Or come to Colorado and party (in pajama pants).

I love the batiks!! BadAss-wise–keep encouraging all of us to express ourselves and help us find ways to showcase that expression. You do that really well. I like the idea of online challenges, may be a round robin of some type. Learning about how the fringes of quilting are taking quilters in new directions is exciting. While I tend toward the more conservative in my own stuff, I love the outer limits!

Batiks and all things Bad Ass. I am so glad I discovered Spool a couple of years ago. Trips to Chattanooga will not be the same. I do hope you will do some workshops and retreats for BAQS in the future. Thank you for all you have shared and taught me over the past couple of years. I look forward to the next chapter.

I’m loving the cottons collection! I’m so happy I’ve had the opportunity to visit Spool on a few occasions, and had the chance to meet you and Flaun. I purchased the quilt kit for your wall hanging quit and entered mine in our county fair… I won a 1st place ribbon for it! Just keep up the BadAss inspiration! I can’t wait to see what you’re up to next!

Your fabrics always make me squeal with excitement when I see them. I love batiks but lately I have been working with quilting cotton fabric….. I guess if I must choose it would be the Batiks. I will miss Spool….. but am glad for the new adventures you both are starting.

Batiks! I love them and they also play well with my Kaffe fabrics. I am sorry Spool is closing but I’m sure you will continue to bring your Bad Ass quilting to us in some very interesting forum!
