Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

I have been following you for a short time and love your whole outlook on the quilting world. It seems like we as quilters are struggling for inspiration for new things and I think your creativity will shine through when you leave behind the stress that comes with having a store. I’m looking forward to this new chapter. The batiks make my heart sing!

The variety pack is making me drool! Love the fabrics. I am one of a few who does not like batiks. Not sure why, but as my mom always said, if we all liked the same thing, it would be a big boring world!
I would love to see BAQ design and offer unique quilt patterns and teach them in classes and retreats!

I too have started new things and will add custom bra making to my Badass life.
I can hardly wait to see what Badassery you come up with next.

I love the feel of batiks. I love how the fabric is firmer to the touch and how nice it sews and glides under the needle of the sewing machine. I really love how well it looks after it has been top quilted and how well it holds up to everyday use.
I would love to see BAQS do some training sessions on your amazing style of long arming techniques.

I generally don’t like batiks, but I really like the look of the batik pile (though I always love bicycles!). I want to see even more support of non traditional voices, even more badassery, and I would love to get more ideas about how I can improve and grow my teeny tiny, badass-wannabe, creative business. Either would be great, but the batiks make my heart go “pitty-pat” ! I love to work with deep, rich colors. I am sad that I never had a chance to visit Spool, but I am looking forward to more Badassquilter quilting as you move forward.

I normally go for lighter colors, but think it’s time to go “to the dark side”! The batiks are beautiful. Would love to see some out of the box quilt patterns.

I would love BAQS quilt shows, physical and online, more challenges like the Rocky Horror one, fabulous BAQS retreats, you could design quilts and get badass quilters to interpret them and publish books with the results, teach workshops at guild meetings, travel the country meeting with BAQS members along the way and post fun videos from OUR sewing rooms/quilting spaces… I think that’s all the ideas I have for now. I wish you fun, success, and even more fun!

love light the fabrics, so sad i wont make it to spool but we love to see you up here in Wisconsin. we need some bad assery added to our quilting. maybe a class or two, i will go as far Chicago for a good class. 🙂

Loving the batiks. I am new to the BAQS but what I’ve seen so far I really love. Looking forward to being on this new journey with you. Thank you for helping me step outside my comfort zone. Wish I had had an opportunity to visit the store but we don’t travel far from home these days.
