Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” Â batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

I love Fabric and will creatively use it all. Pushing the limits and adding whimsy. That said, I love the rich cocoons of the batiks.

Either one is beautiful. Selfishly, I’d love the batiks but the others would be so beautiful and cheerful in cuddle quilts for kids being pulled from abusive homes; my guild’s pet charity quilt project.

I would love to see more BAQS challenges/shows (even if just virtual ones) – I think seeing more bad-ass themes (like the Skin We Are In, as well as Rocky Horror) and bad-ass quilters at work would be so inspiring. Or a BAQS book!
