Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” Â batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

I am drawn to the batiks and when I sought out your store while in Chattanooga for a conf in 2014…you pointed out I should sew what I’m drawn to. So now I do…and look for baq wherever I go…thank you!

Batiks! and Hell yeah after 4 trips to the store I’m putting my name in the hat for them. I think you and Flaun should use Les’ frequent flyer miles and take your show on the road.

I would choose the prints because I see so many of the fun fabrics that were always plentiful at Spool. Bicycles, houses, people and fun flowers. Visiting Chattanooga will no longer be as much fun. So sad to see your shop close.

I like both collections, but one of the things I most enjoyed when I was able to stop by your shop was your personally curated prints, so those would be my choice.
As for the future, I would like to see the BAQS hit the road (and I don’t just mean the sticker on my car!). It would be fun to see travel king trunk shows or to see you vend at some of the major shows (just out of spite!). Whatever you end up doing, though, I look forward to reading about it or watching your videos. I’m sad that Spool is closing, but happy that you are making the choice that works best for you!

Oh my, choices? They are both beautiful. You know I’m a bit partial to batiks….. But, I think I would be best to say the Smiley Pack! That one has fillers for some of the gaps in my stash! Will miss seeing you all and look forward to watching for your next adventures!

Two fabulous collections, hard to choose one!! I’m leaning towards he bright cottons because I need more of color hose cheery fabrics in my stash for some projects I have in mind.
