Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” Â batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

The batiks are my favorite! I am looking forward to what you have planned for the BadAss Quilters Society. Would love to see some interviews with people in the industry who have made their mark on quilting by thinking outside the box. Fabric designers, those who have a special technique they use. I know you will come up with good stuff!

They’re both lovely but I’ve already planned projects for the fabrics on the left! I know exactly what I’d do with them. I’m really looking forward to more awesome “badass” quilting. I’m slowly convincing people I don’t have a grandma hobby and you’re a big part of that!

Love love love the quilting cottons. I love about anything y’all do. This is the most realistic group of quilters anywhere. So inclusive and non-judgemental. That is what I love and expect more of in the future.

I would have to go for the stack of brights and quilting cottons. I love the batiks but I have so many that if I HAD to pick I’d go for the bright stack! I’d like to see BAQS continue what you’ve started. Speaking out and saying what you think, encouraging discussions and accepting other’s ideas (even if they don’t return the favor). I love the thought of quilting not being all “old ladies sitting around at the church stitching away!” I’ve had to fight off all 3 of my teens from taking my BadAss buttons – they love them and so do I! Your shop and you were the bright point on a really cold and miserable journey to a new place. Best of luck in whatever endeavors you seek out.
