Saturday we say goodbye to SPOOL – the physical store (do look for another week online very soon, at KICK ASS PRICES!) and we thought it would be fun to giveaway some fabric as a way of saying thank you for all of your support over the last three years.
We are so very excited about the expanded direction we will be taking BAQS and we will have more on that later. For now, just know that there is some really cool stuff coming including weekly giveaways, livecasts, video interviews with the people you want to know and more. Until then… let’s have some fun and give away two boxes stuffed with fabric!
One box is filled with amazing “SPOOL- Style” batiks… bright, colorful, embodying everything SPOOL was about.
The other is filled with a variety of quilting cottons that I am sure will make you smile for days after opening it.
Each box is 15 yards of fabric plus some fun BAQS swag!

The batiks would fit perfectly in my fabric museum. I am currently crafting a piece with some of the museum items which will be on exhibition in the near future.

Love them both, but seem to find myself always replenishing my batiks more than my others. You always come up with fabulous challenges, so I’m sure whatever comes next for BAQS will be awesome and inspiring!

I enjoy the lighter batiks and prints because I want to learn to applique using Edyta Sitar’s patterns. I would love to see Bad Ass Quilters Society showcase their male quilters. I would love to see them, know their inspirations and style choices.

I’m so sad your closing and I never got a chance to visit. I used to visit for the Hooch when my sons rowed in high school but I wasn’t a quilter then. I got addicted the year after my youngest graduated. I loved Chattanooga and hoped to get back and visit Spools and bike around the city again but just never go around to it. I can’t wait to see what happens for you next. I prefer the printed fabrics on the left. Thanks so much!

Two great boxes but I swoon a tad more for the quilting cottons. New adventures are so exciting and I hope that this new journey is a grand ride. My favorite thing about BAQS is accessibility. Opening up doors and breaking down barriers… Allowing folks to see that they can explore their creativity with guidance and without fear of judgement. I hope you expand even further the community you are building.
