Sometimes a collection comes along that is SO lush, so happy and so dang usable that you just know that it has to be yours!
Zola is the newest collection out from the fine folks at Ink and Arrow fabrics. In fact this is from their brand spakin’ new Junebee division which you are going to be hearing a LOT about as they roll out some fabrics that will have you rushing to your LQS and begging them to take your money.
Great colors, dragon flies, sweet little snails, rain drops and a very sexy tone on tone print that will become a staple in your stash for sure!
I was SO excited to get my hands on this collection that I was totally at “sixes and sevens” about what to make since I KNEW i wanted to see some of this on the regular!
You see I have this little rule that when I create that it needs to solve a problem… you know, be useful. So as it happened the very day I got this fabric I was grocery shopping and had once again had my long loaves of french bread tumble out of my eco-shopping bags – such a bother! What I needed was an extra deep bag to hold such things as baguettes and bouquets of flowers {ooo la la!}
Thus was born the Zola Baguette bag. Click here download and print your very own pattern from myself and Ink and Arrow Fabrics!
We have a winner!!!!

A baby quilt or a bag!!!
I so love the colors in this collection, I think it would be perfect to make a new patchwork cover for my wheelchair back, I am so over the black industrial look that is standard issue. I have been looking for a set of fabrics that is bright and rich.
I would love to make an EPP purse and with the leftovers maybe a small table runner.
I would like to get into bag making. I’m envisioning some nice clutches or wallets the right size for our local music venues this summer (the ones around us only allow in a palm sized purse). Our fireplace also needs a nice summery mantle hanging.
My nieces could use some bags for carrying their treasures home from the library. This fabric would make such cheerful, spring bags for them to take to the library. And if there was enough left over then Its one of your baguette bags for me. Thanks for the pattern and giveaway!
Think I’ll make a quilt 😀
I think I need to make a “garden throw” to go with my Queen Bee pillows… bees gotta have flowers!
Love my bags. Have the plastic things stores use. The reuseable paper ones only last for a bit. But my canvas or fabrics made to my size are super wonderfully great
I always strive for originality, but I would love to make bags out of this fabric too… it is just so fun and funky…
An apron or a little girl’s sundress.
Those bags four the Saturday market.
Not to be a copy cat but this fabric screams tote bags to me and fat quarters work well for some of my patterns. Thanks too for the bag pattern.
I have a purse or two in mind for this
I think I would make hexies! What would I make with the hexies, well maybe a journal cover and a Zola bag.
