Now don’t shoot the messenger but, are you ready for the holidays yet? And no, I am not talking about the 4th of July, I am talking about the winter holidays, you know Festivus, Hanukkah, Christmas, Yule, Festival of lights, Kwanzaa and on.
Yeah I know, you just dug out the sunscreen and the beach towels but already your LQS is bringing in the newest in holiday fabric for the coming season. Much like going to Target in November to find a sweater and only to be greeted by racks of swimsuits the retail season does not always make sense but now is the time to start thinking about and buying the fabric for projects you are going to making and giving this coming season.
So while you don’t need to be sewing a stitch right now by stretching your dollars over a longer period of time you will have a healthy stock of adorable print yardage ready for you without it making a painful dent in your wallet.
The people at Ink & Arrow Fabrics understand this and have created the most adorable planning sheet for you to start thinking about what you are going to sew and for whom… sort of like a naughty/nice list for gift production 🙂 Go ahead and click HERE or on the image and a fully sized printable will pop up on your screen. I like to print mine on cardstock to make them a bit more sturdy… go on and print a few since you might have office gifts, gifts for school teachers and family to do. Create a sheet for each group and keep up with things brilliantly this year! Get really fancy and put them in a binder making it easy to take to the quilt shop with you and pick fabrics for your projects and keep up with all the details. <– Great tip right there.
The graphics on the printable are from Ink & Arrow’s newest holiday line Mingle and Jingle… isn’t is just the cutest!! Fat fluffy cats in sweaters and precious pups ready for some holiday fun and of course there is a whole coordinate line to go with these cute creatures.
Want to see them? Even better want to win them??? Yeah, I thought so… what a great way to get a jump on your holiday sewing..right?

Almost done withe the quilt for my parents. Then onto one for my Son and DIL. And fingers crossed I can somehow complete the one I have planed for my husband. Wow I’m out of breath already.
How cute is this?!!!!
That is so stinkin’ cute! If I don’t win the fabric, I may have to knit a sweater like that for my Dachshund. I doubt the cats would go for sweaters.
Such a cute bundle!! I’m gonna make zippy pouchs for all my folks this year. Every year I do one thing for all from my sewing room…we won’t talk about the year of the pillowcases…or that I found $3 pillows on Black Friday and the ups man thought I was crazy when they showed up!! Thanks for the chance!!
I have 2 grandkids to sew for!
I love the non-traditional colors. Makes me ready to sew for the holidays even if it is 90 degrees outside!
This is so cute! I see mug rugs, tablerunners, stockings and mini quilts being made for family and friends!
When I get my hands on these cuties, I’m keeping them for myself.
I can’t even begin to think of the holidays. Still trying to get my summer things finished. I’m sure there will be plenty of holiday sewing soon enough.
Thanks Maddie!!
I plan on maybe doing some selfish holiday sewing for a change. I need to work through the pile of fashion knit fabric that’s been building up.
This line of fabric is the cutest I’ve ever seen! I’m making charity projects, quilts for kids and pillowcases for the holidays.
I always just make mine as gifts
This is the cutest fabric ever! I’m making table runners for gifts this year! Starting in July so surely I can get the four I need done!!
We moved into a new house and I’m hosting my quilt group’s December meeting this year…… aaaaaaack! I see holiday place mats and napkins and all sorts of quilt holiday decor in my future!
Love this fabric. I guess I need to start thinking about the holidays!
Love the new Mingle and Jingle by Ink and Arrow. All the prints are great and then there are the kitties 🐱!
Everyone in my office are always feezing! So, instead of lap sized quilts, I’m going to make “office sized ” quilts that will fit over their legs/shoulders on an office chair, but not get caught in the wheels. ! Pick me please!
I am so enamoured with this collection. Almost excited about Christmas. Not sure what I would make, but definitely would use all of it in whatever.
How could you not like? So stinkin cute, I’m making this one for me!
I am planning to make a few lap size quilts as gifts.
Hoping to use up many of my older Christmas fabrics.
Not a fan of Christmas fabrics – yet I loVe this line! I’m finishing FMQ on a quilt for my niece, for her room at my house.
I plan to do as much Christmas sewing as I can. Maybe even make a few gifts.
This is so stinking cute!! Love it.
Cute fabric, I can think of a few things to make with it.
This is so adorable. I will be doing embroidered placemats.
Love this fabric! Have baby quilts, table runners and a tree skirt in the works
I am planning to sew a new Christmas table cloth and matching curtains for my kitchen and make an appliqued mantle hanging! Hope I can get it all done in time. Thanks!
Holiday sewing this year will include infinity scarves for the ladies and new holiday table runners for family and friends. I am also making some zip pouches for friends.
Thank you for giving me something to smile about!
It’s been a crappy week & it’s only Wednesday- but these cute pups & kitties are adorable 🙂
I can’t wait to start my holiday sewing! I plan to make two quilts and coordinating pillowcases! I’d also like to appliqué some tea towels. This cute fabric would be fun to use!
I’m more of a one holiday at a time kind of gal! Up first…the 4th of July which is also my BIRTHDAY! Isn’t it great they shoot those fireworks just for my birthday?!?!?!!! At least that is what I told my Dad when I was 3. 😉
Love the fabrics and I’m absolutely positive I could find something great to make!
Plans? Holidays? Sewing? Who me? Maybe if I won this I would actually make some plans and do some sewing. But probably not, it’s not 3 days before yet.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU for the reminder to get planning holiday gifts. Every year I’m behind the ball and don’t have the time! My plans usually include placemats (easy tiny quilts!) and coasters.
Planning on making some lap quilts for family members and a quilt to donate to be raffled off for a charity bicycle ride that is held every year during the holidays.
I’m thinking runners and placemats this year. Still getting settled in our new house. Holiday table decorations can really jazz things up.
A blanket for my granddaughter, pot holders, and napkins
Pillow covers & a table runner. So cute!
I just want to finish my Christmas sewing by Christmas. That would bring me some happiness
I plan on sewing a gift for myself- a king-sized quilt that has been pushed to the back burner for several years running. It’s about time!
Table runners, door displays… super cute! Maybe some embellishment with buttons and rick rack. So fun!
Oh these are so adorbs! I have a quilt in progress for my 9 year old nephew. He is the only one who actually thinks my quilts are awesome lol
I saw this at my LQS! It is so adorable! I am finally going to get my Christmas quilt and table runner finished this year! All I have left is binding. (It’s been 3 years)
