THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED – GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
Sometimes you just get lucky. I totally did when at market a few years ago I met Linda Nitzen from Sizzix. She introduced me to a brand I knew well from paper and jewelry crafting** but I had no idea that they had dived head first in the quilting industry as well!
What a dive it was, talk about making a splash! Two fantastic machines and so many dies to choose from!
For those just dipping their toes in the water the Fabi machine is just the machine to start with. Compact, wonderful price as well as having a plethora of dies to choose from makes the Fabi a perfect choice for many.
But maybe, just maybe you are the sort of quilter to take the bull by the horns – you know, Go Big or Go Home?? If so the Big Shot Pro is what you have been dreaming of! It is totally my pick for a fantastic investment in quick quilting and precise cuts. Of course I am tickled pink that Sizzix has been so kind to offer FOUR of these machines for our winners of the 8,000 celebration ( yes of course you need to sign up if you missed that!!)
Best of all our winners will not only be getting the Big Shot Pro but a huge selection of dies as well including the much coveted new release of Wedding Ring dies from Victoria Findlay Wolfe!!!!! (EEEK!)
Sizzix has totally gone the distance for us and I want to make sure that they know how we feel about them and their unwavering support of BAQS and that is where you come in. Please pop over to the Sizzix Facebook page <— click there and tell them a BIG BAQS THANK YOU for their part in our 8,000 Celebration. If you feel so moved to LIKE their page so you can keep with with new dies and projects that they release all the time!
Also feel free to leave some reflection here about how you think Sizzix Die Cutting might change ( for the better) how you quilt.
** Confession – besides quilting I love to make unique jewelry.. and love my Sizzix Vintaj for embossing metal… so fun!

Congratulations on such an amazing milestone!!!! What an amazing giveaway!
Hi Maddie congratulations on this huge event. Wow sizzix way to go!! If you applique at all this would be the way to do it……and I am going to go tell them just that….
I would love to try die cutting.
I have a Sissex machine for making cards but would love to win this one. I wonder if my machine will work with some of the dies.
Love that so many are quilters. Always learning something new. Aurifil thread, baskets and so much more. Thank you for so much to read about.
I think working with dies would get me to start working with new shapes and maybe move away from just squares and triangles.
Now that I have read your confession I want a Sizzix Vintaj to make my own metal embellishments for my badass art quilts and fabric postcards. Thanks Maddie!
So gracious of you to give away 4 of these gems.my granddaughter and I would be over the moon to win one. oh the possibilities .Good luck to all!
I have an older model big shot that I have used for paper craft for years. I have a few of the dies and just used them for the first time (just a few cuts so far). It is amazing how the half square triangles go together perfectly with no dog ears. I sometimes have trouble cutting straight so it doesn’t matter if my seam is perfect–the block won’t be right. Good idea to have
perfect cuts! I would so love to have the big model! I covet the rob peter to pay paul big die!
can you put fuseable on the back of the fabric prior to
die cutting?
I’d love some appliqué dies to expand surface embellishment.
Of all the giveaways I enter this is the one I want to be one of the winners of. I am disabled and have a hard time standing for long periods while cutting my fabric. Not only that but it would make my pieces much more accurate because after standing on just one leg it for any length of time I develop tipping disease or as I call it lopsided Lucy time which sometimes makes my cuts a little off. (Don’t you just hate it when you waste fabric because of a bad cut.)
Just the thought of being able to cut several pieces at once has set my heart all aflutter. Another great thing about having one would be having more time to sew and create those quilts instead of spending time cutting. I’m sending out positive vibes to the universe, the fates and the BadAss quilting goddesses to help me out with winning this one.
P.S Thanks for putting together this amazing giveaway and BIG THANKS to all the amazing sponsors.
