And share this post to increase the fun!!!

i like being a BAQ it means I do what I like the way I want to do it, and totally ignoring the cants and should nots. It’s not easy but it’s fun.
Never have used cutting dies, but it sure looks like a time saver.
I’m a baby bad ass quilter, I’m new to quilting with a little more time & practice I will be a full fledged bad ass quilter!!! Thanks for the awesome giveaway β€οΈ
Being a BadAss Quilter means making my own rules and pleasing myself. It’s great. I have been using a die cutter for a couple of years now.
I love being a bad ass quilter because there are no quilt police and I can do what makes me happy. I use an accucutter.
To be a B.A.Q. quilter to me means following your heart/ instincts, or those “voices” in your head that tell you which fabrics, etc…
It means to experiment, try new patterns, techniques, products, and most of all to have a TON OF FUN!!!
To answer the second part, no, I don’t do die cutting. I do rotarty cut, and even that is happening less and less as I go more toward the free form art quilts.
With two children under 6, not a whole lot of quilting is going on in my life right now, but a girl can dream, right? Haven’t used die-cutting in quilting, yet, but I’m curious about it.
to be a bad ass quilter is to get up at 4am and sew before you have to be at work at 7:30β¦which means literally running in the door becuz you are late once again d/t trying to get in just another 5 minutes of quiltingβ¦ i so lots of original work so most of what i cut is with a pair of scissorsβ¦but i do see die cutting would come in handy for cutting shapes for by washings i.e. squares, triangles etcβ¦this is an amazing giveawayβ¦thx santa
I am a BadAss Quilter because I always try to make homemade gifts for Christmas and also throughout the year. This Christmas it is phone cases. I have seen the die-quilting, but have not used yet myself. Happy Holidays!
Being a BAQ is not being afraid to try new techniques, styles, or products. It means you are willing to share the things you have learned with others and encourage them to enjoy the craft at what ever level they are at. It is knowing you may not always win a competition and it is OK, I have room for improvement.
I use die cutting occasionally in applique work.
Being a bad ass quilter means having the confidence to make things your own. (And sometimes it just means finishing that quilt that you’ve had sitting around for years!)
I don’t own a die cut machine but I have seen a quilt top that I bought ready to see from a local quilt shop that uses one! It was great! (Now to get it quilted. It’s only been waiting for a year…)
If being Badass means quilting how I want and what I want I’m all in! Love to give handmade and love Aurifil!!!!
I would live to win!
I’m a bad-ass quilter because I make Halloween quilts ALL YEAR LONG! I love them! Can’t get enough off them!! I take other normal patterns and turn them into spooky quilts. I “watch” scary movies while I stitch. My friends laugh at me and wonder if there’s something wrong with me! There is!! I’m bad-ass for Halloween!! I have never used die cuts, but would love to figure out how to use them to help me make my haunted quilts! Thank you for the wonderful give-away!! It’s perfectly wicked!
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means that l am willing to learn, and still design, make, and quilt the way l want to. I haven’t used a die cutter, yet. But l am willing to learn
OMG! I just found you through FB. After reading through the comments this is where I need to be! I have always marched to my own drum and it followed me into quilting. I am a novice quilter but am starving for more information.
I don’t use die cuts but after reading more I think I should look into it.
Now off to explore more π
Do not die cut (yet?). Being a badass quilter for me means I don’t feel like I fit in with any other titles (traditional, modern, etc), and I never let the “rules” stop me from making whatever it is I want to make!
I do not consider myself a Badass Quilter, as of yet, because I am just now learning to quilt, but I do hope to become a Badass Quilter as my skill level increases. I plan to design my own quilts and make each one unique to its future owner. My quilts will be given as gifts, not sold. I have made one quilt so far and am very proud of it.
I have never used die cuts, but it would be awesome to try them out!!
Thank you for such an awesome giveaway!!
I feel I’m a BAQ when my annual quilt show comes together at the end of summer. I love being the chairman for a great show for our little community fair. I meet so many talented people! I don’t use die-cutting, but love to help a small group of ladies at the local library with paper-piecing techniques.
Being a Badass Quilter means making all kinds of Badass one of a kind quilt gifts for my family and friends, especially my eight grandchildren! I use die cuts as well as rotary cutting. I love quilting and gift giving!
Bad Ass Quilters lets creativity win over rules…:))Not using die cuts over here…..
I think being a BadAss quilter is to do what you love and not worry about others or the rules or they why and how of things…just do!!!!
I was lucky enough to visit Accuquilt and try out their machines and made a crib sized quilt. I see so many fun things you can make with cutter systems.
Sadly..,I am not yet a bad a$$ quilter . I am sooooo lame, beause I am broke and do not have enough money leftover to start a new journey in my sewing.
Honestly, though I love quilts , I have not up until this point…EVER been inspired to make one ! Now—it’s all I want for Christmas ! Please ?? I’m not holding my breath on the fat guy in the red suit any more !
Being a badass quilter means that you have a love and obsession of all quilts, which I do.
Being a BAQ means being fearless and diving right in, trying different styles and techniques, and not giving up on your projects, I usually work on several at once. I have not used die cutting yet but want to sooooon!
Being a badass quilter means I can make quilts that I like. I can be inspired by intricately pieced quilts, but I like the quick and easy, and decide as I sew.
I am a newbie quilting for about 2 years. I have difficulty coloring within the lines, but I don’t run with scissors. I have not used a die cutting machine, it is on my wishlist. Thanks for the chance to win!
Being a BAQ means doing what you like without apologies. I’ve never used a die cutter but I would love to try it!
Being a BAQ is doing it and saying it like you see it and not caring what anyone else has to say about it. I have used dies in the past, and look forward to using them in the future! π
I think it means being free from people questioning why you do something one way or another. It’s freedom to let your inner quilter shine! Yes, I have die cuts and love them! Thanks!
Being a BAQ to me means freedom to express myself without fear of quilt police. If people don’t like my work, oh well, I didn’t make it for them. I’ve been contemplating getting a die cutter lately because of arthritis in my hands but money is very limited. I would like to do more applique but cutting all those pieces with scissors is too much for me. Winning this would be a great blessing. Congrats to 8000 members.
Being a BadAss Quilter means I can walk into any fabric store and know I belong. When I go into a new store and get “the look” I just say “I’M A QUILTER” and attitudes change. People are then happy to see a man quilting because we still don’t have a huge representation in the quilting community. We have a lot to give. I do have an Accuquilt GO but have yet to use it. I love my rotary cutter!
Awesome giveaway!! To me, being a BadAss Quilter is all about attitude, and I’ve got a little of that π And I’m getting better about not following the rules. I’ve been using a die cutter for about two years.
Holiday joy by BadAss Quilters Society. Thank you
My mom always called me a smart ass but being a bad ass is much better! You can do things your own way.
So far, no die cuts, but you never know about the future
I think being a badass quilter is a lot of things. Changing the normal and making it your own, whether thread, fabric, or pattern. Being creative and leaving your mark!
Being a bad ass quilter means that I am obsessive about quilting. I have so many creative ideas in my brain just waiting to come out. I am trying to absorb new ideas from every direction. I don’t currently use dies, but I was planning to borrow someone’s dies soon to try them out to see if I want to move that direction in the future. I would LOVE to win this fantastic package. You are all so generous in making this gift possible to some lucky quilter.
Bad ass quilter means itake a pattern and make my own . I don’t use a die cutter,
To me, being a BadAss quilter means ANYTHING goes! I’m not currently using die-cutting but would love to give it a shot!
My day job is accountant, being a bad ass quilter has unleashed the creative me and given me unbelievable satisfaction. I thoroughly enjoy not following a pattern and making it my own. Most of my work has been appliquΓ© art quilts, and many have gone to good causes or charity. I don’t have a die cutter yet, but can imagine it would be a fun addition to the toy room. Merry Christmas!
Being a badass quilter means not having to follow the rules, including the rules about the dining room table being reserved for eating! I am not currently using die cutting but it is on my list of things to try.
Being a BAQ is doing things my way!! I do have a die cutter, but I don’t use it much. What great prizes you’re giving away!
It is the freedom to mix and match whatever you want. You don’t live in a box when it comes to quilting and this extends into your life as well. It gives you freedom to explore and create..food, style of dress, decorating etc.
I have not used die cuts yet..but I do own some.
Being a BadAss quilter means being the first to try something and leading the others off the beaten path. But so far, I’ve not had the opportunity to try die cut yet.
I am fairly new to quilting, so I still have a lot to learn. I am trying to “loosen up” and not be so rigid in my thinking. I don’t use a die cutting machine. It is an awesome list of prizes!
Being a BadAss Quilter is great, with no boundaries! I like to do different projects and I don’t colour within the lines!!!
I love being called a BadAss Quilter. I want to learn to use cutouts … maybe next year!
I love being a baq because I do what I want. The quilt police can just leave me alone! What a great bunch of prizes. I am sure hoping I win. Thank you and happy holidays to all!
I am a BadAss quilter because in 2-1/2 years I have already made thirty quilts and just can’t quit. I just need more friends to give them to.
Do what you like! And no rules….that is badass!
Being a BadAssQuilter means being happy! Letting loose my creative side and making works of art that make people smile! I don’t have a die cutter to help me cut pieces but I would definitely love one! Woo hoo!
Being a BAQ means doing it my way and not fretting over every little imperfection! I don’t use any die cutting at the moment but it’s not for lack of wanting to!! Thank you for such an awesome opportunity!!
