And share this post to increase the fun!!!

Being a bad ass quilter means I have so much fun with my sisters and fellow quilt guild members. Quilters are the best!
I love quilting, it is my creative outlet!
Being a BadAss Quilter means having the guts and determination and freedom to create without rules. Design, create and stitch what makes YOUR heart sing – regardless of what everyone else is doing. It also includes standing up for the profession and the independent designers that pour their heart and souls into their work. Ya don’t have to be a sinner 😉 – be a winner!! Ha ha ha…
Finally a group of quilters I can associate with. I have found a place in the quilting world for me in the Bad Ass Quilters Society. Yes I do use die cutting for my quilts and appliques. Definitely “cuts” the time it would take to cut all the shapes and sizes of my quilt pieces. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a wonderful prizes.
I’ve not joined the BAQS, but think I should with all the inspiration that goes on. Have never used die cuts.
i dream of being a truly badass quilter! I’m still new enough to sewing/quilting that I rely on patterns to help me learn but after using the pattern once I always make it my own by doing it MY way (which doesn’t always work). And I love to learn new techniques, use new tools, explore new quilt shops. Don’t own a die cut but have tried one before.
Die cutting machines are absolutely awesome. However, I don’t do anything anymore that requires the use of one so I haven’t given in to the temptation to own one. My quilting is art quilting and I’ve been a Rule Breaker for a lot of years! Being a Bad Ass Quilter is the way to go–explore and learn every technique, adopt what you love, appreciate all of it and do it your own way!
seams I always need to change something in a pattern….or come up with a design on my own. Being a badass quilter is just ENJOYABLE! Nice to be understood some place!
Not us g die cuts….YET! Thanks for the giveaway! The prizes are pretty badass too! Wow!
Quilting is like Therapy. No die cuts here.
being a badass quilter means cutting tons of pieces and strips on my Accuquilt Go in record time so I can get busy stitching awesome quilts!
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means to me that i get to brighten someone day as they receive one of my gifts, along with knowing my charity work gives a gift of love. I just purchased the new big go and love it. I also have most every die that has been made.
Being Bad Ass means not apologizing when I say that fabric “talks” to me and tells me what it is suppose to be. It means continuing to grow and explore and fearlessly tackle new challenges and explore new methods. Yes, I incorporate die cutting whenever possible. Making quilts to me is about the vision and not mired in the notion that there is only one way to do things. Being Bad Ass is about working to reduce the gap between the vision in my head and the reality produced by my hands.
i’m a BAQ because I make what I want and actually sleep under my quilts! I have a go! die cutter, but Sizzix offers new opportunities. I know Ebony uses her BSP and would love to replace my Go!
I use the Go die cutter for some of my projects. I am proud to be a Bad Ass Quilter. I love to teach quilting and sewing classes. I like to test out new techniques, rulers and notions. The right tools can make your job sew much easier. I have been blessed with a love of sewing a gift which I love to share with others.
I’m a BadAss quilter because I make what makes me happy for the people I love. I ignore the quilt Divas. I have a brand new fabric cutter so I can cut up the stash!
I am a badass quilter because like a crow with shiny objects I am attracted (and buy) my next 2 or 3 projects while still working on one from a year or two ago. I have not tried die cutting but it is definitely in my future
Being a Bad Ass Quilter to me means doing what I want to do when I want to…….sew at any hour, work on multiple projects at the same time, finish those I want to finish first. I am in it for the fun and mostly relaxing sewing times. The huge bonus is guild friends and learning workshops. No die cutter here… need the $ for fabric & thread!
Being a Badass Quilter means there are no quilt police – as long as you are happy with the results, no one else’s opinion matters! I don’t use a die cutting machine – I can’t use the crank type and no room for an electric one at this time.
Being a bad ass quilter means doing it my way! I don’t use die cuts only because I can’t afford to buy a cutter. I would love to win one!
I’m a BadAss Quilter at heart because I’m just a badass everything. I want the freedom to quilt–or anything else!–as I choose, when I choose, and the same rights for everyone else. Haven’t found anyone to deny me those choices, which is a very good thing. I have not used die cuts because I have no die cutter, but would be happy to try out both.
To be a BadAss quilter means to me to stretch the boundaries! And I have not used dies for fabric so far. Would love to try it.
Being Bad Ass means never having to apologize for my creations and who what ever direction the Quilt Goddess led me; being free to be my authentic self in my art and not fret about the ‘quilt police’; being free to indulge in my love of bright and beautiful fabrics without doubt or hesitation; being appreciated for what and who I am instead of who I pretended to be.
Also, I do have a GO! cutter but not many dies. Along with many many piles of UFOs waiting for their turn in the Finish this! pile.
Thank you, Maddy and Les and Flaun and all who makes BAQS a reality. You ROCK!
Being a bad ass quilter means doing things my way , not worrying about the latest trendy project at the guild, and exploring that which is not trendy.
As a BAQs I sew and quilt it my way. Although I have used dye cuts before, I have never owned the machine that does the cutting. It is on my list of wants that I might buy one day.
Being a BadAss Quilter means that I followed my own muse and am now able to make beautiful quilts that make people smile. For most of my life I listened to the people around me when they said I had no talent and was not creative. I knew it was there somewhere, but every attempt at creativity was met with someone saying it was no good and somewhere along the way I came to believe it. I finally stopped listening and I am a happy, creative artist and quilter. I love every minute that I am working in my tiny studio. It is my strength and my joy. It’s never too late to bloom!
Being a BAQ means never having to say I’m sorry, always being ready to try something new, and having a blast doing it! I’ve never tried die-cuts though.
I don’t know how BA I am but I’m loving learning quilting from my mother in law. I’ll take a few days a couple times a year and leave hubby with kids and go stay with his mom and learn fun new things.
Being a BadAdd Quilter to me means taking time for myself. Sewing is one of the ways that I relax. And, I love to see the things I make in everyday use in our home.
I have not started using die cuts yet bit want to.
A bad-ask quilter is someone who chooses how and what they want to make. Mix up a pattern a bit, throw in a different block – HAVE FUN!! I haven’t had a chance to use a die-cut macHine yet, but I would sure love to! Have a blessed day!
Being a rookie, I am a badass by learning new techniques all the time. I haven’t yet tried a die cutter for quilting, although I have used a Sizzix for scrapbooking and loved it. I’m lusting after that Aurifill thread collection!
I am tired of living with the fear of failure and fitting into a certain mold. Being a BAQ means that I can express myself and let go of the worries that have held me back in the past. I have never used a fabric cutting system, but would love to try. Thank you!
Being a BAQ means creating anyway I want to and loving every minute of it!! I have not tried die cut shapes yet but I would love to! Thank you for the opportunity to win and happy holidays.
I love to create and have struggle with other forms of art but when I found quilting oh God I found that medium was the one for me. I love to make improvisional quilts and love the modern style quilt movement.
To me, being a BAQ means doing my own thing. Not following the crowd. Not being afraid to make mistakes. I’m pleased with the results. I love sharing my creations.
I have experimented a little with die cuts.
BadAss…maybe…it’s sharing the quilt gene with my Mom & 3 sisters, enjoying our weekly Sewturdays together and out-stashing each other :-). I don’t have die cutting equipment …yet! Guess I’m old school BadAss.
As a BAQ I feel free to alter patterns (even ones I have purchased) as I see fit which generally means every time I use a pattern. Plus I think it is perfectly acceptable to piece all those traditional pattern in bright modern prints without modern swaths of white space or asymmetry.
Being a Bad Ass Quilter to me means freedom. Freedom to choose what I want to do, in whatever colours I want to do it in, for whomever I want to do it for!
I currently do not use a die cutter, but would love one to try!
Thanks to everyone for the great prizes to be won!
Doing my own thing and enjoying every minute of creativity.
I use accuquilt today for die cutters. I love Aurifil!!
It means being a guy and being able to be a quilter 🙂
And I haven’t tried die-cutting yet
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means doing what you love(quilting) the way you want to do it and being totally appreciated by other loving and openminded quilters just for being who you sure!!!!
I do not use a die cutter yet but I would love to try one sometime!!!
Love quiltingmy way, but appreciate all the talented quilters who share. I don’t have a die cut,but something I would like to have. I just love quilting.
Being a badass quilter means spending time making something just for the sake of the happiness it brings. I feel truly blessed that I can do That.
I’ve never used die cuts, but I’d love to try it!
Being a BAQ means doing my own thing, making my own designs, and not following anyone’s rules but my own.
I don’t use dye cuts however, I do use my cricut cutter to draw designs and then use the designs to machine applique onto my projects.
Can I be a BAQ even though I’m still fairly new to quilting? The good news is that I have a fabulous machine to help me out! Also, my LQS sells only Aurifil and has set me on the right path. As I am also a papercrafter, I already own a Sizzix die-cut machine so I purchased two quilts: the 5″ charm square and the 2-1/2″ four-piece mini-charm die. I’m not constrained by tradition–I’ll use whatever method works to get my project going!
badass quilter: being able to do whatever the hell I want; not using patterns; coordinating my own fabrics…etc.
I use a cameo silhouette to cut out some embroidered letters i put on baby quilts for the baby’s name. Love my cameo!
So excited for this giveaway! Thank you to BadAss QS and all the vendors that made this possible!!!
STEAL IDEAS AND MAKE THEM UP MY OWN WAY… BEST WITHOUT MATCHING SEAMS NEEDED
Being a BadAss Quilter, I can change a pattern to my liking.
Badass quilters rule, & rebel, & create their own way. Anything goes!
I use dies whenever possible – even if i have to borrow a machine & dies! Cutting takes so much less time with them!
A BadAss Quilter must be a really experienced quilter that can make up a quilt in ‘no time flat’! I am a BadAss Quilter want-to-be. I am just getting back into quilting after not doing it since high school. I have an accuquilt fabric cutter and a lot of dies! So far, I have only used the fabric cutter for applique. I have not used it for piece work yet. That will be my next endeavor. Thanks for the fabulous give away!
I’m a bad ass quilter because I don’t let a little thing like a 9-5 day job get in the way of quilting. Staying up too late to attach that binding? Hell yeah! Spending all my coffee breaks (and sometimes while I’m on the phone) drawing new quilt patterns? Of COURSE! Working over time so I can splurge on new fabrics? You know it!
I would so love to have a die cutter (which I, sadly, do not currently have) so that my bad assery could take on whole new levels.
