And share this post to increase the fun!!!

Being a Bad Ass Quilter means I can quilt until 4am, get up at 8 am and start all over again because my grandsons birthday is in 2 days.
Being associated with Bad Ass Quilter Society let me pick which fabric to use with what ever pattern I choice and as long as I like it that is what matters. I have not gotten to use the die cuts but what better time then now to start.
Thanks
To be a Bad Ass Quilter for me is to do as I choose. I have the traditional skills that I can use to make things without rules. I can make what ever I can think of. No have never used the diecuts. some day….
I love quilting. It is fun to see all different kinds of patterns and how different fabrics can change what the pattern looks like.love finding patterns that are different.. The prizes are amazing!!! I don’t use die cuts, still using scissors.. am sure it would save time. have not used aurifil thread but am willing to try it in the future.
It means loving what I create with a passion and playing, playing playing All the time! It means stepping out of the box ALL the time, asking “what if…”
It means FUN!
I don’t use die cuts YET! Only because I don’t have one yet… π
Being a bad a** quilter means taking an idea or pattern and making it my own, not following a traditional color scheme, and not making something just like someone else has made. Individuality RULES!
To me a Bad Ass quilter means, I can add 2+5 and come up with 7 and someone else can add 3+4 and come up with 7. The way we got there doesn’t really matter. Respecting and supporting each other beyond age barriers and beyond gender roles.
I have used a die cutter in a shop demo and loved the outcome. I do not have my own personal cutter though. Quilt on fellow BadAssers!
After many years of sewing garments (I will not admit how many) I finally decided to tackle quilting and the math involved that had always kept me away. I have gained so many fantastic friends in my learning! Being a Bad Ass Quilter gives me license to meet and hang out with some of the most creative, clever, ballsy women I’ve ever known. I also love the fact that a Bad Ass Quilter has no rules… something I always found stupid about “quilters”. Keep on doing what you’re doing Maddie, you’re great at it.
I feel being a bad ass quilter is creating things you love. We all make crap along the way, but continuing to try and create what you have envisioned in your head. That is what I strive to do. To get all of these amazing ideas out of my head and created with fabric. I do not have a die cutter. Thank you.
Being a bad ass quilter means trying new things that I might not be comfortable with, then really enjoying the end results. I do not use a die cutter, but wish I had one.
Being a BAQ means I don’t always follow the rules and try things my own way.I have not used diecuts. Thanks for the chance to win!
Being a BadAss Quilter means lovin’ your fabric and making whatever suits your fancy.
I occasionally use die-cuts — love the accuracy.
Being a BadAss Quilter has liberated me to do it MY WAY! I always knew the way I wanted to things was the right way…you gave me permission. I so have die cutting machine and use it regularly.
Being a Bas Ass quilter means doing what makes me happy. I have not used a die cutter but want to try it!
Being a BAQ means I get to do it my way and I get to have fun. I donβt use die cuts but I think it would save a ton of time.
Being a bad ass quilter means doing quilting how I want to without worrying about what other people think. I don’t have to conform or be perfect but instead have fun and enjoy! That is how I try to live my whole life.
As a Bad Ass Quilter I am entitled to leave my housework for another day, or week, open up a can of soup for my husband’s dinner, and quilt to my hearts content. No, I do not own a die-cut machine but that would make my heart sing!
I’m a BadAss quilter, but didn’t know there was an official group. I make what appeals to me from traditional to modern and anything else in the quilt spectrum. Haven’t done die cuts yet.
Honestly- I don’t know what it is to not be a BAQ!! That the only way I roll- putting patterns & colors as I wish, learning from other BAQs to exponentially increase my badassism- I don’t use dye cuts- but learning how & having the machine would super-size my BAQ cred!!
Being a BAQ is really a radical departure from the traditional quilting world for me and one I love because I’ve always had that nagging little feeling that I should just tweak things a bit and not play by the quilting rules. Nothing I do ever seems square or “perfect” so I am convinced that this is where I belong. And no I am not using any dye cuts in my work so far, but there is always the future. π
Being a BadAss quilter means I can enjoy making a modern quilt and not worry about voices that might say it looks like a mattress pad. It also means that I can enjoy making a very traditional quilt and not worry about critical voices that suggest I’m channeling my grandmother. (Actually, I would consider that a compliment :)) I make whatever gives me joy, and encourage others to do the same. And I’m fortunate that I have never actually met anyone with those voices. All the quilters I know are fun supportive people who appreciate each other’s work of any kind. I guess we are all badasses! Let a thousand flowers bloom. As for using a die cutter, I’ve never tried it, but would absolutely love to!
Just learned of the BAQS through a FB post. Love the name! Breaking stereotypes and going where no quilter has gone before. I belong to two guilds, would like to experiment with die cutting in order to teach others.
Being a BAQ means not being judgemental and following your heart and soul when creating.
I have used a die cutter.
I am a Bad Ass Quilter and proud of it. To me it means breaking the rules and having a blast doing it.
I think being a bad ass quilter has more to do with passion than attitude. I live quilting in everything I do and love to share my passion with everyone. I dont currently use die cuts but would LOVE to try! Thanks for the giveaway…you are truly BAD ASS!
Very new to quilting so may not be bad ass yet but I will get there;) I do not have a die cutter, but I have used precuts to help me along. Congrats to who ever wins and good luck to all.
I’m such a BadAss Quilter it can’t be mentioned on a public web site!
I would be honored to be chosen to receive anyone of the gifts. I don’t currently quilt however I see endless creative energies and would love to learn more. Currently sew and embroider for enjoyment. More ideas than time!
No, I do not use dies for projects.
Bad Ass Quilting is being able to guilt all day/and night if necessary with no quilt!
I would like to work with die-cuts however my income restricts my purchasing!
Not using die cuts — yet. being a BAQ to me is what my sisters call “going rogue” when we do our group quilting and I always change up the patterns instead of following them.
Quilting for me is a time of respite, a time to unwind. I take time to be in my sewing room every day possible even if it is just 15 minutes at 530 am in order to organize or press some pieces. Sometimes I just sit in the room sipping coffee and pondering a current project – mainly because it is so early that I feel guilt running the machine next to the master bedroom :O. It’s also about bringing joy to another when giving a surprise gift. It’s also about being part of a larger quilting community where you can share and inspire and be inspired by others.
No, I do not use any type of cutting machine other than my scissors. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a generous gift!
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means to me that I can do what I want with my fabric & patterns. And, if I don’t want to use a pattern & just improvise that I then can do that with no worries. I do use a die cutting machine and love it. Haven’t used it as much as I should have but am getting use to it.
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means having fun with my quilting and learning new skills!
I haven’t used a die cutter but it would be nice to try one.
I do not use die cuts, yet. I would love to.
Being a BAQ means happiness is more important than arbitrary rules. Not to eliminate structure altogether, but to try new things without wondering if it is ok to do so.
Id love to become a bad ass quilter! It will be on my bucket list for sure! I LOVE to sew and create beautiful garments and unique items. I would love to teach my daughter one day, the way my mom taught me! Thank you for such an amazing opportunity to win these generous gifts!
I dont have a die cutter. I cut my fabric with my teeth because im soo bad ass! LOL Happy to be in BAQ group its a great resource for sharing information and getting support and great ideas. Thanks!
Being a bad ass quilter means taking a quilt in your direction and maybe the designers path. Changing colors or the way you layout the blocks. Putting your thoughts and heart into it.
I have started using an accuquilt machine in my quilting. I love it for the triangles. It makes piecing more precise. My mom has been borrowing it and she finds it more faun and physically easier for her to cut up scraps.
Im just beginning quilting, so I aspire to one day be a bad ass quilter! I do have some crazy fabrics and ideas in my head that you could call bad ass I suppose! I havent used die cuts yet, but would love to try! Thx for givewaway
A BadAss Quilter finds time to quilt no matter what, she fits it in, no matter what! I have not used die cutting in my quilts but would love to!!
I am a badass quilter, notions whore, and lover of shiny shit! I love to try new techniques, and am not afraid to go where no quilter has gone before! Don’t have a die cutter but love to think about where it would take me on my quilting journey.
I don’t use die-cuts.
I like being true to myself as a quilter and honoring all other quilters as they’re true to themselves…no rules except respect one another.
Being a Bad Ass Quilter means using your own creativity to think outside the box to create a quilt with your own design and colors and quilt it the way you see fit!! I will have to check out SLO Creative!!
Being a BadAss Quilter means doing my own thing my own way and supporting other quilters to do the same. I haven’t used. Die cut machine, would be awesome to win one.
being bad ass means doing my own thing. i do have a sizzix big kick and some quilting dies (would love to be able to do strips).
I absolutely love the name & irreverence of your Blog!!! I’m fairly new to quilting, so haven’t achieved your “BadAss QS” status yet. It’s definitely something to aspire to!
I do not have any die cutting tools, only a rotary cutter & mat at this stage of my life.
Your prize package is AWESOME! It contains so much inspiration, material & goodies that the winner (which I hope will be me!) will feel like they’re in “hog heaven”!
Thanks for this opportunity!
I explored some of your quilting projects while visiting your blog and am totally impressed! It’s beautiful and amazing!
I am a BadAss Quilter wannabe. I have completed a couple of wall quilts and a pillow quilt but have not yet graduated to a full size quilt. Just moved and finally have a craft room, YEAH! I have purchased a die cutter but have not yet taken it out of the box. I am so looking forward to quilting again.
A Bad Ass Quilter is bravely going forward with colors, textures, designs, etc that make one’ s work their own! I haven’t done anything with die cutting–sounds like a BassAss Quilter’s idea to me!
I do not have a die cutter but I would love to win this one! Then I could put it in my retreat workroom and share it with quilters who come to my retreat! http://Www.doverquiltretreat.com
I’m not sure I would qualify as a BAQ. Maybe a mediocre ass quilter. But if I was a BAQ it’d mean I was rocking out a ton of great and beautiful quilts for my family and friends and then some!
Being a badass quilter means making projects that make people smile. I do not use die cuts.
