The cat is out of the bag and the magazine is even on the stands in most locations* so we can feel totally cool about talking above a whisper and making vague references to our amazing feature and quilt pattern in Quilt Sampler Magazine.
The truth is that it was months of hard (and secret) work to make this feature a reality but now that it is here we are walking on air! To be such a young store, one grounded in the values of diversity and openness; to be the base of the BadAss Quilters Society and have a national magazine acknowledge the difference we are making in the quilt world by our very presence is amazingly gratifying. 
Our quilt ~ Just an Illusion ~ by Flaun Cline has now been paraded around (like a homecoming queen but with less spray tan) Quilt Market and shared with media to wonderful effect ( they like us, they really really like us!).
Now we spend time visiting with the guests that it has already brought us from around the United States, sharing with them about our partnership with Cherrywood Fabrics and how the use of hand dyed fabric from a small family owned company makes our quilt glow as well as being a strong part of our business ethos to lift other companies along with our own.

What’s Next?
So what might you ask is next?.. World domination? A trip to Disneyland? …. well in truth we will be doing more of the same, since you should dance with the one who brung-ya, as they say! We will continue supporting all quilters without exception. No matter your, age, income, or sexuality you are welcome at SPOOL. We encourage you to come by and check us out and see why we were picked! What you can expect to find is Sassy Southern Sewing with a Twist. 
Summer will bring Row by Row with SPOOL featuring not only 2 fabulous Harry Potter themed row versions but also an English Paper Pieced Row that is going to have everyone a buzz!
We are going to be sewing with our youngest customers in July with Sew Happy Campers ( info coming soon) and we look forward to sharing our new Hexie Things Club (new ways to look at EPP) as well as a Fall Quilter’s Yard sale and of course AQS Chattanooga in the coming weeks.
Of course there is more ( did someone mention retreat?) but it is a bit soon to talk much about that, but do get excited anyway 🙂
