If you don’t know Megan Dougherty it is about time you checked that  off of your bucket list.  While there might not be a million quilting humorists, she is indeed one in a million as far as I am concerned (I suck up to her in this way to let her know my devotion to her and to make sure she does not lampoon me one day!)

Megan’s work shows up in some of the most popular quilting magazines and is regularly bootlegged across the quilt-0s-phere much to the enjoyment of quilting readers but not so much to the copyright attorneys  who keep up with such things!

Now you can get your own legal copy of her amazing and funny writing on the topic of quilting for your very own!

To think,  much like that copy of 50 Shades of Grey you will not have to hide your love of Megan’s work, you can read it loud, proud and in public knowing that you paid for it. And while I am not going to say with 100% certainty I don’t think there is any mention of a whips or handcuffs in the whole book!  And while some might see this as a shortfall it does make it easier to give as a gift at your next quilt guild exchange since some people are touchy about those subjects!

Megan has self-published this book ( go indie!)  by-passing the need to grovel at the feet of a publisher or hit the road on a book tour that would keep her away from her lazy-ass ways she loves so much!

Her book ties together much of her collected writings as well as new material ( FRESH!) and best of all it is ready in time for holiday gift giving.

Megan is even so swell as to rub the book all over her body for those who put in a special request ( note that on the PayPal form ok?.. I dare you!) and if that makes you uncomfortable how’s about an autograph.. I bet that could be arranged!

Seriously.. I could not be more proud of my friend and fellow BadAss quilter and encourage you to support her, buy the book.. hell, buy 2 give one as a gift! Supporting  independent writers and craft persons is a passion of mine and this just happens to be a great way to do that!

Sooo here is the bit where I come clean… Megan has offered books up for a giveaway but right now I am up the ying-yang with obligations so will not be doing one, but that does not have to stop you from winning a copy. Just check out any of these fine blogs as the days progress and you can have a chance to win!
