If you were hanging around last month when we were talking about some of my new favorite tools for quilting and I was talking about The Little Flipper you know that I am a really big fan of Kim Brunner and her work as a quilter and a teacher.  The products she develops fit my needs as a quilter and the nice part of it is that her templates can be used on the longarm and the domestic!

Well, having the templates is just the start since from there you can fill to your hearts content and that is what I am thinking about right now and that is where this tip comes from.  Again, this tip works for anyone using templates for either their longarm or domestic machine sewing… so why not give it a look?

See…. didn’t I tell you?… so what do you think?  Are you getting the most out of your templates or are you still working up the nerve to dive in and give them a try?

Do remember that it is CRITICAL that you have a foot MADE for working with templates since no matter how steady you think you are it is WAY too easy to ride up over the acrylic, shatter the templates and knock your machine out of timing. Almost all brands have feet made for templates now, so get one and dive on in… the water is fine!
