Chattanooga Quilts is a Jewel Box of a Quilt Shop

I was lucky enough to find some time to meet a darling new friend of mine Ms. Margo Clabo for lunch and  a tour of her local quilt shop Chattanooga Quilts which is actually located  in historic downtown Ooltewah, TN which is just a quick hop from Chattanooga proper.

I can’t thank Margo enough for turning me on to the wonderful place. Stepping in is like stepping back in time in the coolest and most hip of ways.  From the moment you enter you are taken back and yet propelled forward with visual delights everywhere you look.

With an overall country primitive feel that is given a wee modern twist making it feel soft and fresh this place is swoon worthy to say the least.  From it’s tin ceilings to it’s gorgeous wood floors this place echos time and and is the perfect setting for those who embrace quilting  to find what they need to make the project of their dreams.

Chattanooga Quilts is an obviously well curated shop with just the right selection of  fabrics, patterns and notions as well as small  ” Secret Pal” items to fill out your wish list with ease.

The vibe in the store is warm and friendly due to the wonderful owner Kim who makes sure each customer is greeted and their needs are taken care of without being  intrusive or putting pressure on any customer I saw her help.

You can be sure that given that it is a quick drive from downtown Chattanooga via the highway and a wonderful afternoon destination from Atlanta or Knoxville that this is a must stop shop for anyone with a passion for beautiful fabrics in a beautiful setting.  I can also add that the town in which the store is located has possibly the most charming tearoom ever so when you come make sure to call ahead as to get a reservation!

For more information about Chattanooga Quilts  stop by their website  Or find them on Facebook.  And if you are coming through town drop me a note and I will meet you there!
